They understood that life wasn't a race, but a journey to be felt. Under the intense heat of the court and the loud thud of the balls hitting the floor, my students understood that success isn't always measured in gold trophies or shiny medals.
That student basketball competition was a true test. We weren't the tallest, but we were the most consistent. Every pass was a pact of trust, and every defensive play, a wall of willpower. Although the final score wasn't in our favor, we were a tough team to beat, forcing our opponents to sweat for every point until the very last second. That made me proud. I knew beforehand that the opposing team had a significant advantage, but my students held on with great courage.
We came home with a second-place finish, but with our spirits ablaze and smiles on our faces. The true victory was the joy of having given our all, transforming our shared effort into an unforgettable memory that defines us more than any medal.
That's what teamwork is all about, and it was the best lesson.

Eso me enorgullecía, sabía de antemano que el equipo contrario nos llevaba una gran ventaja pero mis estudiantes resistían con mucho valor.
Nos vinimos a casa con un segundo lugar colgado al pecho, pero con el alma encendida y una sonrisa en la cara. La verdadera victoria fue la alegría de haber dado el todo por el todo, transformando el esfuerzo compartido en un recuerdo imborrable que nos define más que cualquier medalla.
Eso es trabajar en equipo y fue la mejor lección.
