I only had a few minutes to stop by the park today, but I wanted to get some outdoor experience with my camera.
They are renovating the park and I am excited to see the improvements they are making. This was where I saw a kingfisher for the first time. I hope they will return this year so I can photograph them hovering and diving.
Life is about gaining experiences and learning from mistakes. I am still proud of my point-and-shoot through binoculars method and will continue to shoot that way periodically for old time's sake. Now I am very excited to have a tool I can spend the next several years growing into. Hopefully someday soon I will do it justice. :)

He and his human, Kassidy, came with me to check out the dog park.
There is a lot more grass at this one than the one they usually visit and they both had a good time. Follow their adventures at @kass-and-bax!

Cool. It how fascinating that you could identifybirds seeing them on the first instance. You just to good at what you do.
I hope more of this birds come around, really excited to have a view through your post
I can't always identify them on sight. I study at home so I have a good idea of what is in my area, but I always double check when I see a new bird. When you get to see their behaviors, their size relative to the other birds, and their plumage in person, it really solidifies that bird for proper identification when you see it again later.
