I learnt that we should we should make our prayers brief and always ask for what we need and never should we use vain repetition.
I learnt that prayer is making a request from God.
Our prayers should be straightforward and precise.
According to the book of phil 4 vs 6 we where told that we should always accompany our request with thanksgiving.
I learnt that if we make our request in the right and proper manner,our request will be granted.
I also learnt that for our request to be granted by GOD,we must have faith and trust in GOD.
Remember that GOD is the almighty and we must trust him at all times.
We should stop telling GOD stories but rather we should go straight to the point because even before we started praying,GOD knows what we are about to ask of Him.
We should not pass on to mary our obligation to pray because it is wrong.
Mary is dead and cannot even hear us because she is not the one who has the power to hear and answer our prayers.
JESUS commanded us to pray by ourselves and pray to him alone.
I learnt that even before we eat,we are obliged to pray and give thanks so that the food will nourish our bodies just like what JESUS did when he fed the multitude of people with just a few loaves of bread and few fishes.
I learnt that nothing is to be refused if its taken or received with thanksgiving
When the LORD JESUS was about to eat,he gave thanks,even the apostles gave thanks before and after they ate and we should do same.
I learnt that GOD can never forsake those who believe and trust in HIM.
We should not always pray when we have troubles or are in need but at all times in out lives we should pray always,infact we should maintain a constant line of communication with GOD.
We should not be like some people who only pray at once a year or when they only need the help of GOD.
We should pray without ceasing,what this means is that we should pray night and day..before we sleep we should pray and give thanks and when we are awake before we do anything,prayers should be the first thing to be engaged in.
I leant that praying to GOD day and night can do a great deal in our lives.
For our prayers to be heard by GOD,it must be prayed our of a pure heart and we must refrain our tongue from evil and seek peace and make sure our ways are pure because the eyes of the LORD GOD is over the righteous and HIS ears are opened unto them.
The prayers of a wicked person are like an abomination unto GOD and the wicked in heart will never have his or her prayers answered.
