What’s up, Hive? It’s been such a good day that I stopped playing Magic: The Gathering Arena, rather than allowing that stupid ass game to ruin my night. I didn’t throw my iPad […this time]. Just calmly closed it and directed my energy in to a blog post. @tarotbyfergus with most certainly appreciate that. I have to be up early tomorrow to participate in the second Eden election on EOS. @lovejoy has ascended high in the ranks in the EOS community and I want to be there to support his leadership. I’ll hit this on the blockchain and then set up shop for tomorrow.
Today, I met up with @bryanpolitte. A good friend, like @ghostfish, he’s always willing to come over and help with moving something heavy or borrowing a vehicle to pick up a cumbersome Craigslist find. Our pet snake, named by @guthrie at age two, Mr. Snake, finally outgrew he tank. It was time to upgrade him and I just made a massive investment in the largest glass tank our local pet store had in stock. $400! After switching him in to this new home, @bryanpolitte and I were looking at some of the other pets, namely my tailless whip scorpion.
@bryanpolitte is an incredible macro photographer and it wasn’t long before he mentioned that he had his camera in the car. I took the scorpion out of the cage and we moved her outside to an impromptu Attenborough shoot in front of my house. I took a few shots with my Nikon Z6II mirrorless and 50mm lens, but couldn’t compare to the images he was getting with his 60mm 2.8 lens. I even took a few photos of him shooting, “on location”. The rest of the night, we reviewed and edited these at @caffetto. A great way to spend the evening.
Tomorrow, I’m going to have a really long, arduous day starting with the Eden election. @guthrie has a birthday in the afternoon, then I’ll be going to see a movie in the evening. In between all of those commitments, I’ll be working on @mirrorpool artwork. Ah! I wish I could show you all the new illustration but it’ll be coming to an NFT marketplace in the near future. Definitely worth the wait. I’m currently on my favorite illustration of 2021, for sure. Enjoy your night, or your day. Thanks for reading. For more photography and art, follow me here.
