I’m sitting down for some writing therapy and doing so during the waking hours for a change. I’ve been elevated at @eos.detroit to a management position. We’re working on some internal NFT initiatives and there is a lot to be managed. I’m not an inherent manager, honestly. As a freelancer for 20 years, I’ve managed myself, but that’s much different than managing a team. So many meetings! In fact, as soon as I wrap this blog up, I have to sit down for yet another.

Despite all the cool things we’re doing at @eos.detroit, I’m still a photographer in there somewhere and there’s outstanding work I need to complete. Remember in November I drove to LA for a wedding? I’m getting the chance to revise that beautiful fall day in Souther California. My clients have go through almost 3,000 photos and made their picks to be edited. I don’t fancy myself a wedding photographer, but this couple has made it really fun.

When you meet with wedding clients for an interview, they usually think they’re choosing their photographer, but since I’m not a wedding photographer, I have the luxury of knowing I’m actually choosing my clients. We sat at a restaurant in Pasadena, and other than introductions and a few minutes on the wedding itself, we mostly talked about metal, music and horror movies. That was good energy and when I knew I wanted to be there to capture their memorable day.

Their wedding was certainly memorable. I credit them for committing to seeing this through during the pandemic. They took great precautions to ensure everyone’s safety and after nearly a year of being locked up inside, I was grateful or the time I spent with them. I frantically ran around, photographing moments during the ceremony. In some ways, I feel like I needed the adrenaline rush of an event like this. These are just a few photos. There are SO many more to come. Thanks for reading.
Nice job on the photos. Do you have to do it all yourself or did you at least have an assistant to carry around your bag and stuff? Hopefully it was a small wedding and small venue! Congrats on the new position by the way!
So beautiful. Love the lighting and the colors. Great work.
Really nice photos. One of the things I liked about my own wedding is that I took the photos myself (we eloped) and one of the things I didn't like is, I took the photos myself :D
Weddings are fun to shoot, despite the stress.
The love locked in the eyes.❤️
The first pic says it all.
