Hello friends of @steemiteducation, this week I was working in the classroom with my students and I was thinking and working on the subject of Emotional Learning, in how to teach children to know how to feel and feel at a given moment of his life.
Happiness is something that we all want, both children and adults and is that emotional well-being is essential for all people. But can you have emotional learning in the classroom? Although it seems a challenge because of everything that must be worked on, you can really do it if you look for a weekly (and even daily) time to carry it out.

And it is that emotional learning is even more important than academic learning, because when a child is well, he will learn better and more motivated than when he is not.
People who are happier are healthier, more productive, more generous and more kind to others.
Do you realize how important it is to work in the classroom emotional learning so that children can develop as active and happy people? It is the only way to enjoy life more and to learn more easily.
Anyone who works with young children knows that they live in the moment (and in a way we adults envy that). When children are happy is that they are being right now, so it is worthwhile to work emotional learning in the classroom so that they do not lose it so important over the years. But how to work this important learning within the classroom?
Emotional learning activities within the classroom.
Do not lose any detail of the following emotional learning activities so you can start to develop them in the classroom, I hope you find them useful.
Body awareness "We listen to our body"
The body is connected to our mind so it sends a lot of information to the brain and vice versa. In fact, much of the emotions we feel begin in the body, so we must learn to listen to our body to know how we really feel.
To know how we are we must know how to decipher how we feel and this we must work on in class.
Make students understand what it means; "I have butterflies in my stomach", "I have a hole in my stomach", "I am trembling / sweating from my nerves", "my head hurts from thinking so much".
These are some ways for students to begin to understand how the body is connected to the mind and that all they have to do to know how they feel is to listen to their body.

Help create calm; "We learn to relax"
The body and mind are related and that is why the emotional state can be changed for the better when we are nervous, but how to teach that to the students? As follows:
Through relaxation. Do 5 slow, deep breaths to calm down and review how the body feels before and after.
Through movement. Jumping (moving) to release emotions, a little fatigue leads to calmness.

Range of emotions: "I express how I feel"
There are many positive and negative emotions that we can experience throughout our lives.
That is why in class it is convenient to express and name each one of the emotions so that the children learn to differentiate them.
An activity to do in class may be that some students express emotions and the other students guess them.
If the students begin to be aware of the emotions, they can have more knowledge of them and know how they feel at each moment.

It is true that we as teachers should take the time within the classroom day to educate our students emotionally, I think it is of the utmost importance that children know how to identify their emotions and recognize what they are feeling. that would contribute to make them feel better with themselves and therefore be happier and a happy child is a more motivated, interested and eager to learn, if you liked these exercises put them into practice with your students and put your two cents to help them be happier. Thank you for visiting my blog and I wait for you in my next publication.

@mukhtarilyas, I know that emotional intelligence can arouse children's motivation in learning. @lasocia, it can even defeat other intelligence. Children in class are happy if they get the right job. And they are more confident. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks to you for visiting my blog! Regards!
Great post, it has good strategies, and they are kids friendly. Sometimes, as an adult I can´t really tell how I feel. I hope next generation can be more aware about their emotions.
