The Containment Sector.

The search for Dylan led through the elevator to the containment sector, where a strange projection of former Director Trench appeared. After discovering the area was overrun by aggressive, flying Hiss entities, a strategic battle ensued, followed by an infiltration of a Hiss soldier outpost and the successful cleansing of a local control point.

My immediate objective was to locate Dylan somewhere within the containment area, and to reach that destination, I first had to step into the main elevator and ride it down to the containment sector level.

Upon exiting the elevator, I quickly ran down the corridor and caught sight of a massive shadow of the former director, Trench, which seemed to be casting onto the wall from a nearby projector or a similar device.

I made my way over to the opposite side of the floor to inspect the outer periphery where Dylan was supposed to be held, but instead of finding him, I found a massive chamber entirely infested with floating Hiss entities.

After observing the room for a brief moment to get my bearings, I opened fire on the floating threats, though these hostile entities proved highly aggressive and incredibly difficult to manage when attacking simultaneously in large numbers.

The relentless assault forced me to stay constantly on the move to dodge incoming projectiles, but by utilizing a disciplined strategy, I eventually managed to eliminate every single enemy in the room.

Continuing down the path, I arrived at a heavily corrupted section that was actively occupied by an additional squad of Hiss soldiers, prompting me to slide behind cover immediately to observe their patrol routes before moving in.

Once a clear opening presented itself, I launched a surprise attack against the fortified positions, maintaining high pressure until the entire group of enemy soldiers was completely wiped out.

With the immediate area cleared of hostiles, I spotted a corrupted control point and immediately began the cleansing process, which instantly caused the shifting environment to settle down into a much quieter, normal state.

To be Continued...

The Hiss entities were floating around minding their own business until you showed up to ruin their day, and you're acting victim? Lol. Handling those aggressive entities should take some serious skill, btw.

I enjoyed the way you described the combat encounters. The need to fight against multiple airborne enemies made the fight feel dynamic.

You are making the containment sector look like a walk in the park, even with all the red corruption everywhere. You're going good, keep it up.

The pacing was handled very well throughout this chapter. The exploration suddenly changed to intense combat and finally cleansing the control point was satisfying.
