A decision at this scale carries risk, but so does standing still. Some errors may have been made, and flexibility has been built in to address that and to do right by customers.
People will not simply be removed from Slack and email and treated as if they never existed. Communication channels will remain open through Thursday evening (Pacific) so goodbyes can be said and anything people wish to share can be shared. A live video session will be held to thank everyone at 3:35pm Pacific. This approach may feel awkward, and that is preferred over being efficient and cold.
To those leaving: gratitude and apologies for this hardship. Those people built what the company is today, and that contribution will be honored. This decision does not reflect the value of those contributions, and those affected will be strong contributors to other organizations.
To those staying: leadership will own this decision and asks for help building forward. The company will be built with intelligence at the core of how work is done, how things are created, and how customers are served. Customers will feel this shift and will be supported toward a future where they can compose their own features from the company's capabilities served through its interfaces. There is no comming back from this, the fact that they couldn't afford to pay yield is 1 thing, that they choose to lie about it and make up a peg defend mechanism for SURGE, that wasn't going to buy back tokens as it couldn't is what made it much worse. Trust is gone.

I know a family friend that we grew up together back then. He once said something during one of these family holidays together that made everyone look at him in a very terrible way. Some didn't talk with him throughout the holiday, but I did anyway. He was a bit older than I am, and he was also this loud guy and wrong about almost everything he believed in then. I have never seen someone as bold as he was back then because he said everything with a full chest and probably no awareness because some of his words were so heavy with weight.
Today, he is now a man and married, and it looks like a brand new person because he's now the most careful person I have seen, so quiet. I didn't ask him, though, but I believed that he had seen a lot of things about life and something in him had shifted. But assuming someone was able to record what he did back then and that person posted it on the internet, I believe many people won't really care about who he is now but rather what he said back then.

Over the last week we have seen the dollar value of our fund drop by 1/3.
The HIVE value per LBI is down from 1.582 just 5 days ago to 1.129 now.
Anyway, the current valuation above is I guess a new baseline for us, and we rebuild elsewhere.

She had major surgery yesterday.
A double-barrel stoma due to a tumor in her small intestine.
Keeping her in my prayers and hoping to bring her some comfort and strength as she begins her recovery. 💙🙏

I know a family friend that we grew up together back then. He once said something during one of these family holidays together that made everyone look at him in a very terrible way. Some didn't talk with him throughout the holiday, but I did anyway. He was a bit older than I am, and he was also this loud guy and wrong about almost everything he believed in then. I have never seen someone as bold as he was back then because he said everything with a full chest and probably no awareness because some of his words were so heavy with weight.

Today, he is now a man and married, and it looks like a brand new person because he's now the most careful person I have seen, so quiet. I didn't ask him, though, but I believed that he had seen a lot of things about life and something in him had shifted. But assuming someone was able to record what he did back then and that person posted it on the internet, I believe many people won't really care about who he is now but rather what he said back then.
