Hello brothers and sisters of steemChurch we will talk about the divine healing. Still today? With works? What does the Bible tell us about this? God wants to heal everyone?

The Divine Healing

Worship the Lord, your God, and he will bless you, giving you food and water. I will remove the disease from among you. (Exodus 23.25)

I am the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)

The divine healing is a promise made by the Lord God from the days of Israel in the wilderness. The presence of God among the people was the guarantee of provision and health, in all aspects: physical, emotional and spiritual.

The disease entered the world after the fall of man. The sin of Adam and Eve introduced death, disease and weakness in humanity. The sovereign will of God did not include sickness in creation.

However, when the Lord God gathers his people, Israel, he makes them promise that as long as there is sincere worship in the desert there would be food, water and healing.

For this to happen, the servants of God should only look to Him and believe in the promise. I am the Lord who heals you. (Exodus 15:26)

The Cure and the Will of God

And, at dusk, all those who had patients with various diseases brought them; and, putting his hands on each of them, he cured them. (Luke 4:40)

And when evening came, they brought him many who were demon-possessed, and he by his word drove out the spirits of them, and healed all who were sick; (Matthew 8:16)

This is a very delicate part of divine healing. Is it God's will to heal everyone or not?

The ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ is marked by great power and authority. The biblical passages quoted show that during his evangelistic crusades he always healed them all or most of the sick and expelled the demons.

There is no biblical account that Jesus Christ left a single sick person without being cured, or oppressed without being released. On the contrary "everyone tried to play in it, because from it came power that healed everyone." (Luke 6:19)

The Lord Jesus made another important statement, which gives a lot of support on this subject: "For I have come down from heaven, not to do my will, but the will of him who sent me." (John 6:38)

Finally, there is the following episode: "A leper came to him, he wanted him on his knees and said:" Lord, if you want, you can do it to me! "Jesus extended his hand, touched him and said:" I want. Be purified! "Immediately he was cleansed of leprosy." (Matthew 8: 2,3)

The leper approached Jesus exactly with the doubt of most Christians of our day. "Does the Lord want?" Jesus answered, "I want!"

We can state with certainty that all He did was the Will of God. Then I can assume that God wants to heal everyone. It is my opinion. This is how I believe.

And why does not God cure everyone?

Pray to your disciples to expel him, but they did not succeed. "Jesus answered:" O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long will I be with you and will I have to endure them? Bring your son here. "(Luke 9: 40,41)

On the occasion described by Luke, there was a father with the son being oppressed by the devil. The man went to speak first with the disciples, who could not heal the child.

The boy's father talks to Jesus and tells what happened, something that leaves the Son of God deeply angry. In his outburst, Jesus shouts: "O unbelieving and perverse generation, how long will I be with you and have to support you? Bring your son here."

Jesus attributes the absence of divine healing to the lack of faith. Then he heals the child.

We know that faith is the product of God's knowledge. "So that faith is by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." (Romans 10:17)

If we do not know that it is God's will to heal everyone, then we do not believe. If we do not believe, there is no glory of God.

Keep in mind that in Nazareth the Lord Jesus can not perform many miracles, not because of lack of power, but because people were not believed (Matthew 13:58).

Areas of Performance of Divine Healing

There are at least three areas in which divine healing acts:

  • Spiritual healing;

  • The inner cure;

  • Physical healing.

Then we will see a little more about each of them.

Spiritual Healing

(...) And there was a woman who had a spirit that kept her ill eighteen years ago. She was stooped and could not straighten up in any way. (Luke 13:11)

The devil is one of the most responsible for sowing diseases among people. He does it, in at least four ways: oppression, possession, influence, sin.

The Lord Jesus has already proven a cure for each of them, thank God.

  • Healing for oppression (Luke 13:11)

  • Healing for possession (Luke 8, 27-36)

  • Cure for evil influence (Matthew 04:16)

  • Healing for sin (I Peter 2:24)

The Inner Healing

He alone heals the brokenhearted and cares for their wounds. (Psalm 147.3)

Depression - One of the greatest adversaries of people is depression. In 16 years it grew 705%.

Anxiety - Another common and serious emotional illness. A study shows that 25% of the world population suffers with acute anxiety. This represents one in four people in the world.

Fear - Fear is part of our day to day. Violence. Wars Assaults Homicide Terrorist attacks. Fear hits our door tomorrow morning.

When fear takes over our lives, it weakens us in many ways. He destroys our hope and ends our will to fight.

Although there are many and serious emotional diseases, there is divine healing for the soul. The Lord God is the one who restores and strengthens.

He alone heals the brokenhearted and cares for their wounds. (Psalm 147.3)

  • Cure for depression

  • Cure for anxiety

  • Cure for fear

The Physical Cure

Jesus said to him, "I will cure him." (Matthew 8: 7)

Jesus also did many other things. If each of them was written, I think that even in the whole world there would not be enough space for the books that are written. (John 21:25)

The divine healing was and is something that accompanies the presence of the Lord Jesus wherever he goes.

His ministry is full of testimonies of people who have been healed by their hands, clothes, words, anyway.

This was so abundant that the apostle John said that not all the books in the world could contain all the stories.

The Lord Jesus always showed a lot of readiness to heal, whoever he was. It has never been denied or prevented. When there were no healings it was not his fault, it was caused by the disbelief of those around him.

The Divine Cure and the Remedies

"If you are the Son of God, for it is written: 'He will give orders to his angels in their respect, and with their hands they will hold him, so that you will not stumble on any stone.'" Jesus replied: "It is also written : 'Do not test the Lord, your God'. (Matthew 4: 6,7)

At the moment when the devil sent the Lord Jesus to pull himself from the top of the Temple, with the argument that nothing was going to happen to him because it was written that God would keep him, He bounced: 'Do not test the Lord, you God. '

This teaching is very important in our day, especially in this subject.

Many people refuse to take medicines and to treat because the Word of God promises healing. My answer is the same: 'Do not test the Lord, your God'.

He perceives that the devil commands Jesus to play from the top of the Temple based on the biblical promise. Jesus, however, refused.

Notice that Jesus did not follow the diabolical advice because there was not the slightest need. We can not play with the power of God.

That is, if there are possibilities of human treatment, I believe that you must do your part. With that I do not mean to open your hand to your way of believing.

The blood flow of the woman was already twelve years looking for his cure (Mark 05:25 - 28). The medicine could not do anything, she spent everything she had and wore a lot until she heard about Jesus.

Obviously we do not need to get to that point. We already know the power of our God. The medicine should not be our sovereign hope. What I want to say is that our part must be done.

We must take good care of our health. Good nutrition, walks, routine exams. Remember, your body is your responsibility.

I close that part by saying do your part, and make sure that when things run out of your control, your God will not forsake you.

The divine healing is one of the great blessings of the Lord God for humanity. In a time of many diseases, plagues, etc., it is undoubtedly reassuring to know that the Lord promises us: I am the Lord who heals that. (Exodus 15:26)
