Picked up my markers before they go dry and old and decided to just create without overthinking today... I felt a bit unsure about these quick cartoon sketches at first, but I remembered some wonderful advice from fellow artists online saying that " art does not need to be perfect, we just need to keep creating and sharing". Watched these three unique figures unfold right before my eyes the moment I let go of expectations.
I explored different shapes, poses, and quick color choices without stressing over the final results. I just went with it
My Creative Process & Inputs

The Striped Dress & Pop of Contrast: Used a bold green pen to block out the folds and stripes on the skirt. I was actually aiming for teal but I don't have it. I then added an intense orange accent outline around the hair and skin to create a striking contrast that frames her confident stance. This is inspired by a character from a series her name is Cheryl. Love the autumn feels.

The Side-Profile Motion: Attempted a side view walking pose to capture a fun sense of movement. I mxed a bright orange hoodie with solid green pants, then topped the character off with textured purple marker strokes for the hair to keep the palette completely playful.

- The Stylized Dual Tone Shading: I experimented with a very cool shadow technique on this casual hoodie design. Then I layered soft blue marker ink on one side for the lowlights and ran a warm red highlight outline down the edges to give the simple grey clothes a wonderful, energetic dimension.
Allowing myself to just draw and enjoy the ink hitting the paper completely refreshed my creative energy. Every single line is a step forward. I may not be all satisfied but practice would help me get there someday.
