RE: Variably Consistent

in Reflectionslast month

Hey, I resonate so much with this! Once in a while I'd find myself in this situation and it's harder to get out of it but these days, I learned to create some boundaries. I mean, I allow myself a day to miss everything to start over the next day.

I love your observation about generalist vs specialist. I am a generalist myself and though the world tend to ask us to actually master one thing. That takes me a while to tell myself to work with such traits, afterall it isn't that bad and that just means, when things gone awry, we have more things to hold on to.

For me, Sunday is my non-negotiables. It's like on that day I am using that to reset everything including my streak of posting because I don't typically schedule time. I write them as I go haha.

Anyway, Have a great day!

Cheers, glad you resonated well with it! I for sure enjoy and prefer being a generalist, likely because it helps us stay relevant in many different areas. There are probably deeper psychological meanings to it, but that's good enough for me :D

Sunday is for sure a day I prefer to do enjoyable things. I tend to work and have worked on Saturday's for a long time, so while most days lately it's not a work day, it occasionally is! Sunday is for sure the day to do something enjoyable though, many times it's not being idle but that's okay.
