Curious About Psychedelics?

Have you ever experimented with psychedelics?

If your answer is no, my goal is to inspire you to try something new. I totally understand the anxious feeling you get when taking something new, especially when it has the power to alter your state of consciousness. Fortunately, those feelings have long passed for me, because I have experimented with so many psychedelics, on so many occasions, and on so many different levels. I've become extremely comfortable in different states of my consciousness. I have taken many lessons from my experiences; some that have even changed my life's trajectory.

I gave a speech at Anarchulpoco this last February on the topic of psychedelics and their therapeutic properties. I go into detail about my background, and how psychedelics saved me from a potentially terrible future. For only 11 cents, you can watch it here! http://www.watchmybit.com/Video/Show/190b2092-4fa6-43b0-b7d4-a33fa5d2f899

Thanks for sharing the message - psychedelics are a sure-fire way of proving to yourself that the dominant culture is just thin paint over a free conscious creature.

Wondering if you've tried DMT, and if so - what's your observation on it?
I'm quite fond of Terence Mckenna's perspective , but it's such a subjective experience. Is it an actual 'look over the fence' so to speak, or just an inner exploration...

Thank you! I've experimented with DMT on many occasions. It has never failed me. Every experience is different, but gives me a similar message. That message holds the answers to where I am in my own evolutionary stage of conscousness. It's great to get an idea of how far you've come, and how much more work there is to do. Always a great insight for what I can do to self-improve.

Between the main article and this response you’ve pretty much addressed why I’m reluctant to try psychedelics.
As curious as I am about “where I am in my own evolutionary stage of consciousness”, I like who I am and enjoy the toys I get to play with in this life. I’m happy with my life's trajectory and the idea of the whole “death of ego” thing does not seem appealing to me right now. But vicariously I find the tales of others’ experiences very enlightening and (for what its worth) you’ll be getting an upvote from me every time (sadly my upvote isn’t worth much).

The thought that certain drugs could tinker with my identity has kept me off them my whole life. Except for alcohol... But I managed to get off that drug not too long after trying it.

Yeah, the inner-look does seem to get easier as you make progress! Less baggage-sorting, more exploration :)

Have you seen the OpenBCI setup? It's an open-source biofeedback rig, and it'd be really cool to see more psychedelic voyagers experimenting with it...creating some charts and maps as we explore!

No one can spell Anarchapulco right. :P Z'all good, look forward to seeing you again in February Macey! :)

There is something so wonderful about trying something new and letting go of all fear of what may happen.

It depends on the person and situation, and people can do or not do whatever they want, but I think that for some, this can end the struggle with anxiety forever. :-)
