Welcome to another Mantequilla-Soft Weekly Report!
This week's biggest news is the rebrand of Hangouts to OpenPods. The name better reflects what the feature is: open, live audio and video rooms for the Hive community. OpenPods has been integrated into 3Speak and is currently available for testing on the preview branch. Thanks to @ankapolo for the idea of the name. We invite everyone to try it out and give us feedback.
We also dealt with some server issues and started discussing plans for a DHF maintenance proposal. More details below.

OpenPods (formerly Hangouts)
@meno led the rebrand of Hangouts to OpenPods and integrated it into 3Speak. The feature is live on the preview branch at preview.3speak.tv for testing.
New features include the ability to add cover images to pods, giving hosts a way to make their rooms more visually appealing. On the left sidebar, users can now see OpenPods along with an icon showing how many pods are currently active. Below the shorts/stories icons, there is also a preview of active pods showing who is hosting, the title, and the cover image.
This integration makes OpenPods feel like a native part of the 3Speak experience rather than a separate app. We encourage everyone to test it on preview and share their feedback and ideas.

Server Troubleshooting: IPFS Memory Issue
One of the servers was experiencing memory issues related to IPFS, which was causing it to shut down. @eddiespino diagnosed the problem and solved it by adding memory limits to the IPFS process. The server should be stable now.
DHF Maintenance Proposal
We discussed plans to create a DHF (Decentralized Hive Fund) maintenance proposal to help cover ongoing infrastructure and development costs for @threespeak. More details on this will come in future updates.

Background play is a great feature. I can lock my screen and keep listening. This is a very useful feature. Love your ideas on how to use OpenPods, guys 👏👏👏
Also, regarding getting money to cover @threespeak server costs, it's not a whole lot of money. I'm sure we can come up with some creative ways to collaborate. I'm wondering if you could do some sort of sponsorship program. For example, $25 per month gets you a sponsor mention on the podcast, either verbally mention or a logo on the episode post. I'm sure some creators would be willing to donate their sponsorship to Threespeak.
