Today I will continue with my participation in the Blogging challenge and we will talk about a topic that I liked a lot which is about:
Si tuvieras la oportunidad de cambiar de carrera ¿Cuál sería y por qué?
If you had the opportunity to change careers, what would it be and why?
Como les he comentado anteriormente soy estudiante de medicina por esa idea de que me gusta ayudar a las demás personas y les tengo mucho aprecio y principalmente respeto a esas personas que día a día ponen en riesgo su salud/vida para mejorar la salud de los demás, a pesar de que hay muchos motivos sentimentales por los cuales yo me decidí por medicina, existe otra carrera que en el pasado llamo mucho mi atención. Aunque para ser honestos, en el pasado muchas carreras llamaron mi atención jajaja en este caso estamos hablando de la carrera de Derecho, no sé porque me gustaba o mejor dicho, me gusta mucho esa profesión.
As I have told you before I am a medical student because of the idea that I like to help other people and I have a lot of appreciation and respect for those people who day by day put their health/life at risk to improve the health of others, although there are many sentimental reasons why I decided to study medicine, there is another career that in the past called my attention a lot. Although to be honest, in the past many careers called my attention hahaha in this case we are talking about the career of law, I do not know why I liked or rather, I really like that profession.
Para mi los abogados son personas que tienen que tener mucha astucia e inteligencia para saber diferenciar los pequeños detalles importantes y que pueden hacer la diferencia, la manera como se presentan los casos y sus defensas es algo que me gusta muchísimo porque no puedes dudar de ti para poder convencer a los demás de que tú estás defendiendo al correcto. A pesar de todo lo que me gusta de esta linda profesión que tiene varias ramas porque hay abogados para todo aunque no lo creamos jaja es que tiene varias desventajas porque a veces no siempre tus clientes son inocentes y aún así debes defenderlos, eso para mí en ocasiones me da como un conflicto que no sé bien cómo llevar y por eso no termine decidiendome por esta carrera.
For me lawyers are people who have to have a lot of cunning and intelligence to know how to differentiate the small important details that can make the difference, the way cases are presented and their defenses is something that I like very much because you can not doubt you to convince others that you are defending the right one. In spite of everything what I like about this beautiful profession that has several branches because there are lawyers for everything although we do not believe it haha is that it has several disadvantages because sometimes not always your clients are innocent and still you must defend them, that for me sometimes gives me a conflict that I do not know well how to handle and that is why I did not end up deciding for this career.
Realmente se me hace una carrera muy bonita que como todas amerita mucho esfuerzo y dedicación, en mi familia tengo a una primita muy especial que se decidió por esta profesión y recientemente culminó la carrera, no tienen idea de lo orgullosa que me siento de ella porque sé lo mucho que se esforzó por lograrlo, estudiar en Venezuela conlleva demasiadas dificultades y es peor cuando sumas el hecho de que las universidades privadas son bastante caras, en el caso de mi abogada favorita, ella en conjunto con su mamá vendieron muchas cosas para lograr la meta que tanto querían y ahí sintieron que cada esfuerzo, cada lágrima, cada gota de sudor y cada palabra de consolación valió totalmente la pena.
In my family I have a very special cousin who decided to pursue this profession and recently finished her degree, you have no idea how proud I am of her because I know how hard she worked to achieve it, Studying in Venezuela involves too many difficulties and it is worse when you add the fact that private universities are quite expensive, in the case of my favorite lawyer, she together with her mother sold many things to achieve the goal they wanted so much and there they felt that every effort, every tear, every drop of sweat and every word of consolation was totally worth it.
Podría decir muchos motivos por los que me hubiera gustado estudiar Leyes pero a pesar de todas esas ventajas me hubiera faltado una pieza principal: vocación. Mi intención no es engañar a nadie y decir que desde siempre tuve un amor por la medicina porque es mentira pero me sentía muy atraída hacia la medicina desde aproximadamente los 10 años pero busque más opciones por no dejar de intentar (o por miedo, quién sabe) y entre esas opciones siempre tuve en mente ser abogada hasta los 16 años que finalmente me decidí por medicina.
I could say many reasons why I would have liked to study Law but despite all those advantages I would have lacked a main piece: vocation. My intention is not to deceive anyone and say that I always had a love for medicine because it is a lie but I felt very attracted to medicine since I was about 10 years old but I looked for more options not to stop trying (or out of fear, who knows) and among those options I always had in mind to be a lawyer until I was 16 years old when I finally decided for medicine.
Sin el derecho, una sociedad civilizada no sería posible.
Without law, a civilized society would not be possible.
