Saludos a todos los lectores, el día de ayer realicé mi primera práctica de doce horas en el servicio de medicina interna del hospital Dr. Luís Gómez López, el cual comenzó a las 7:00 pm y culmino a las 7:00 am del día de hoy, para mi fue una gran experiencia.
La enfermera en el servicio de medicina interna tiene como objetivo proporcionar al paciente una atención y cuidados de calidad en pro de su recuperación y bienestar.
Entre las principales enfermedades que podemos encontrar en el servicio es; trombosis venosa profunda, infecciones respiratorias, crisis hipertensivas, infecciones de piel y partes blandas, desequilibrios electrolíticos, sepsis, pacientes diabéticos con alguna complicación, insuficiencia cardíaca, enfermedades del sistema endocrino, entre otras.

El personal de enfermería debe proporcionar un plan de cuidados adecuado a cada afección, entre las principales cuidados que realiza enfermería destacan; la cateterización de vía periférica, extracción de muestras de sangre, baño en cama, la administración de medicamentos, tanto vía oral, endovenosa, intramuscular, subcutánea, intradérmica, rectal, permeabilización de vías periféricas, cuidados de sonda vesical, nasogástrica, la administración de concentrados globulares, plaquetas, cuidados de ulceras por presión, oxigenoterapia, aspiración de secreciones, control de signos vitales; es decir frecuencia cardíaca, respiratoria, pulso, entre otros cuidados.
Otro de los cuidados importantes es el control de líquidos ingeridos y eliminados, el cual debe realizarse por turnos, es decir, mañana, tarde y noche, al finalizar el turno se debe de realizar la suma de todos los líquidos que el paciente ingirió y elimino, todas las acciones que realice enfermería se deben registrar.

El profesional de enfermería tiene un gran rol dentro del servicio, y este es satisfacer las necesidades del paciente, evitar el sufrimiento y ayudar en su estado de recuperación tanto físico y emocional, enfermería también influye en el bienestar psicológico del paciente y lo puede realizar a través de la escucha activa.

Para mi, medicina interna es uno de los servicios donde como estudiante se pueden aplicar todos los conocimientos adquiridos, así como también mejorar las técnicas y habilidades aplicadas en cada procedimiento, contribuir en el proceso de recuperación en un paciente es de gran satisfacción, todo aquel aprendizaje adquirido en cada servicio es de gran importancia para la formación como futura profesional de enfermería.

Greetings to all readers, yesterday I did my first twelve-hour practice in the internal medicine service of the Dr. Luís Gómez López hospital, which began at 7:00 p.m. and ended at 7:00 a.m. Today, for me it was a great experience.
The objective of the nurse in the internal medicine service is to provide the patient with quality care and attention for their recovery and well-being.
Among the main diseases that we can find in the service is; deep vein thrombosis, respiratory infections, hypertensive crisis, skin and soft tissue infections, electrolyte imbalances, sepsis, diabetic patients with some complication, heart failure, endocrine system diseases, among others.
Nursing staff must provide an appropriate care plan for each condition, among the main care performed by nursing are; Peripheral catheterization, blood sampling, bed bathing, drug administration, both oral, intravenous, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, rectal, peripheral line patency, bladder catheter care, nasogastric, administration of globular concentrates, platelets, pressure ulcer care, oxygen therapy, aspiration of secretions, control of vital signs; that is to say, heart rate, respiratory rate, pulse, among other cares.
Another important care is the control of ingested and eliminated liquids, which must be carried out in shifts, that is, morning, afternoon and night, at the end of the shift, the sum of all the liquids that the patient ingested and eliminated must be performed , all actions performed by nursing must be recorded.
The nursing professional has a great role within the service, and this is to satisfy the needs of the patient, avoid suffering and help in their physical and emotional recovery state, nursing also influences the psychological well-being of the patient and can do it at through active listening.
For me, internal medicine is one of the services where as a student all the knowledge acquired can be applied, as well as improving the techniques and skills applied in each procedure, contributing to the recovery process in a patient is of great satisfaction, everyone Learning acquired in each service is of great importance for training as a future nursing professional.
