El gato glotón / The gluttonous cat

Soy un gato glotón,
así nací y me conservo hasta hoy,
el hambre no me deja
y devoro lo que vea,
mientras sea comida buena,
porque dañada no me entra.

I am a gluttonous cat,
that's how I was born and remain so to this day,
hunger doesn't leave me
and I devour whatever I see,
as long as it's good food,
because damaged food doesn't fit me.

Un día zanahorias encuentro,
son de tamaño medio,
comienzo a comer con esmero,
no me gustan los betacarotenos,
pero hacen bien al cuerpo
y harán que vea mejor el universo.

One day I find carrots,
they are of medium size,
I start to eat them with care,
I don't like beta-carotene,
but they are good for the body
and will make me see the universe better.

Y por tanto comer,
me infló sin sensatez,
como un globo me empiezo a poner
hasta que me elevó bien
y me voy a conocer
el universo que hermoso es.

And so I eat,
I inflate myself senselessly,
like a balloon I start to get
until it lifted me up well
and I'm going to know
the universe, how beautiful it is.
