As cryptocurrency is in a free fall so will be Hive. This is benefiting those who wish to accumulate more coins by buying at lower prices or exchanging for more Hive. The latter is happening as we speak. The most popular secondary market tokens on hive blockchain are currently rising in value relative to Hive. This means if investors held on to tokens such as DEC, LEO, and even SIM would have more Hive if they wish to exchange for Hive.
DEC best Example when Hive Price Falls
Overnight as crypto prices fall including Hive it has help boost DEC price relative to Hive. As Hive is get lower DEC price is getting higher. Second layer tokens potentially are gaining value when trading against Hive when Hive is falling. The reason is some second layer tokens such as DEC is fixed price and as Hive price drops investors can exchange their DEC for more Hive!
This will work with all stable coins and to a certain extend DEC is one such coin. As Hive may potentially fall further one can safe guard their value by exchanging their Hive into DEC now and anticipating to trade back for more Hive later if indeed prices do continue to fall.
Another example is Splinterland's assets such as land plots continue to rise in Hive value since Hive price is falling. Ideal for investors who bought Plots at mid 20s Hives can now exchange them for more Hives if they wish. Just look at the daily chart below for Plot prices versus Hive.
Some traders can literally double their Hives if they were able to buy Plots below 30 Hives.
Sometimes Hive Price Falls Also Helps Some Secondary Tokens Too
Other times just because Hive is down will also boost secondary tokens. Here POB is shown as a perfect example. POB is trading around $0.60 each but due to Hive price drop it has made POB worth more than Hive when doing pair trade.
There is always a silver lining in everything we trade and that includes cryptocurrency. Hive ecosystem is so large and well establish with over 1 million users there are bound to be ways to safe guard one's earnings and assets just within the ecosystem.
