Drawing A Portrait [246]

Hello everyone and sketchbook community!

Today, I want to share with you my new artwork. It is a portrait drawing of a well know a famous movie star by name Kevin Hart.

Kevin Darnell Hart is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and producer. He was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

This guy is very good in comedy. I love his confidence when he performs. Two of my favorite movies from him are "The Upside" and "Jumanji".

The work was done with a blue ballpoint pen on a cardboard paper. I used cross hatching technique to create this piece. Below are my steps:

I first sketched out my model. I had a lot of challenges trying to get the exact shape of his head. If you look closely, you will see a lot of adjustments.

Thereafter, when I was certain there is a little resemblance, I started building my forms. I used cross hatching and sometimes I applied hatching.

I used squiggles on his hair and bears. Finally, I came up with this results below

Thank you.

Thank you!👍🤒

hello my friend, you made a great drawing again. I congratulate you. I see it can be quite difficult. Bravo! and have a nice day

It looks like him too. Great sketch!

This is really beautiful

Thank you so much.

neat... I always have a problem with making portraits look similar to subject, you clearly do not:)

I used to have that challenge too but I kept practicing and I focused on blue ink. I think that's what you need to do. Just focus on a particular medium and harness it.

I like this actor, he is always so funny😊

Yeah, I also love his confidence when ever he wants to speak or perform. What's your favorite movie from him?

The upside

Yeah, very educative movie.
