Yesterday I wasn't planning to leave the house for anything. But because of things that happen I had to.
At 3:45 in the afternoon my daughter phoned me to tell me that at 4:20 there was a meeting at school. Next week the exam period starts and the purpose was to inform about it.
Without any desire I got dressed and while I was doing it I said to myself: well...if you go to the street make a post for Hive.
At least this way the trip took on a different meaning. Despite the hurry I was in (I was already a little late and had to walk almost 3 km) I went out phone in hand to document the "walk".
I went through the buildings to shorten the way. I didn't find anything interesting...a flowering plant, I don't know its name, it is very pretty, but not the surroundings ☹️. My neighborhood is not very nice, but at least it has some trees to decorate it.
In one of the main streets I see that a bus of the National Zoo of Cuba stops, they are very nice, they are decorated with colorful images of the place. I start to run.... almost fall down, I wanted to take a picture to show you, but.... it was gone 😭😆.
I continue my way in a hurry, in this area are the
William Soler Pediatric Cardiovascular Hospital and the Rehabilitation Center belonging to it.
On the next corner there is a "polaquito". It reminds me of my "yellow polakito", I miss it. The pain that goes up my legs reminds me of it more. My husband is at work in it.
In Cuba having a car is something difficult, so our family car, a Fiat Polski 126 from 1985 is a luxury 🤣🤣. It is like having the best modern car (not only because the price of the parts is almost the same 😆) also because its fuel expense is quite low.
The transportation situation is kind of serious in these parts, so our "flamante polaquito"...which by the way we call the "Yellow Submarine", is very precious. We love it madly.😜😂
Passing in front of the Altahabana Mall, I remember @nanixxx and the delicacies he bought the other day...I almost followed in his footsteps 🤭.
An "almendrón"!!! (classic American car from the 50's decade of the last century). Very popular in Cuba. It almost got away from me too. It stopped at the traffic light and I was able to take this photo.
I have about 500 meters of road left. In spite of being November the vegetation is still green. Autumn here does not manifest itself in those beautiful orange tones of other parts of the planet.
A few yellow leaves show us a slight vestige of this season.
4:28 pm, not bad, only a few minutes late.
1 hour and 40 minutes later I'm on my way out. The meeting...a total waste of time. No important information and all very messy.
Luckily this post came to save my afternoon and make it worth the obligatory "walk".
