🐒 I was wondering how much the unique visitors are increasing or decreasing week over week. Steemit unique visitors were going up everyday for some time but now the trend has turned down as the weekly charts below show .
Unique visitors refers to the number of distinct individuals requesting pages from the website during a given period, regardless of how often they visit. Visits refers to the number of times a site is visited, no matter how many visitors make up those visits. When an individual goes to a website on Tuesday, then again on Wednesday, this is recorded as two visits from one visitor. Because a visitor can make multiple visits in a specified period, the number of visits may be greater than the number of visitors. A visitor is sometimes referred to as a unique visitor or a unique user to clearly convey the idea that each visitor is only counted once.

Increasing unique visitors week over week has almost come to a standstill : At this rate the number may be negative next week .

As always.. interesting even though I don't get it. I'm going to read up and learn my stuff! Then perhaps I can give an educated reply.
Yea i know it will decrease somehow cause most newbies aint encouraged to get along it only take courage and dedication to stay on...Imagine making a post and getting nothing just because one have a low reputation...That i noticed most steemians looks at reputations before they can upvote a post be it good article or not that i observed here...We all need encourage the minnows!!!
Thanks for sharing the trends, however I tend to think that there is a lot of good content on Cryptocurrencies and there is a huge upward surge of unique visitors on Steemit whenever there are news on cryptos and Bitcoin in particular. This can explain the increase in visitors around June - july before Bitcoins fork. That's my take:)
I am going to an event next week where I will be promoting the site so next Thursday and Friday I would assume will be a spike from my area signing up. This event will have at least 100 artists vending, plus all the customers that come through. I hope to see a big interest in Steemit from this event.
This so sad! Yet, ...
Yet, there is still hope, IMO. We have to remember that Steem's statistics reflect what had happened earlier on Steem. The past month was a little quiet here. But the interesting things are starting to roll in. So, I expect the stats to start increasing in October.
Obviously .. -1500 is sad and not good but the efforts of members I have seen lately by whales , dolphins and some minnows like me always fills me up amd encourage me to work as this would be a succes for sure..
