Education is the future and the best legacy that is what they say but it is quite unfortunate that most countries (developing) are still not a better match when compared with their counterparts as regards a good and basic education system. What could be primarily responsible for this mischief? Could it be due to the lackadaisical attitude of government on the percentage/quota system of Education on any given budget. What is your perspective?

The problem isn't education the problem is economic opportunity and the accessibility to information and there were less people with degrees in the 80-90 then there are now a country full of educated people and no one to hire them is still a poor country a perfect example is America there education is not the best but people still mass immigrate there because of opportunity

I wish it were so simple. It is important to realize we have so many new communications tools; probably schools for everyone, where they are directly supervised with a teacher, in a building, wiht electricity; may not be practical for everyone. But we could decide that online classes, and access to a phone, are human rights, and take it from there?!
Keeping in mind, there are only so many desks, chairs, and light bulbs, we need new ways to train people for jobs that do exist, but also, new ways to show people how to start their own businesses. There really is no point, in a educational system to merely teaches people how to work for someone else, when those jobs no longer exist, were taken by the previous generation, or robots, or computer automation. Yes?
