A breakthrough Phase-Controlled Matter Beam has been developed that enables precisely controlled 3-D atomic scale printing and additive manufacturing at wafer scale, with feature sizes down to 0.2 nm without the use of masks. The technology integrates two fundamental physics phenomena, the non-energy exchange phase change induced by the electromagnetic vector potential (Aharonov-Bohm effect), and Kuramoto-type coupled oscillator synchronization to produce a coherent matter beam whose phase can be precisely controlled, resulting in atomic scale patterning, deposition, and assembly. A synchronized array of coupled low energy emitters creates the beam that is designed to maintain the required phase coherence over the manufacturing working zone where atomic scale construction occurs. We are currently seeking Government or other funding to build the prototype.

• Fabrication of 2D and 3D atomic structures using coherent phase controlled matter waves

• Achieve > 0.2 nm resolution with rate greater than EBL

• Additive manufacturing: Deposit complex molecules into patterns and structures

• New chemistry via molecular wave combination with phase control

• Matter (atoms, molecules, fermions) are waves and therefore exhibit interference behavior

• Use coupling to drive coherence (which is the minimum energy state – least action principle, Kuramoto coupled oscillators synchronization)

• Phase change without energy exchange is provided by the Vector Potential of superconducting loops (AB effect)

• Coupling comes from the mutual inductance of the superconducting loops

• Creates an effective Fermionic Bose-Einstein condensate

• Precise phase generation through artificial gauge control

• Initial deposition with low temperature electron emitter arrays (= low frequency and reduced frequency spread)

• Add complex molecules, deposition sites and catalysts to achieve atomic additive manufacturing and new chemistry

• Wave coherence is readily maintained through the atomic manufacturing region
