In this video I go over another example on Parametric Equations and Curves, and this time show how we can write any line segment through a simple pair of parametric equations, on the interval of the parameter t, from 0 to 1. While this does not sound all that fascinating, trust me it is! This is because being able to simply graph any line segment with a consistent and simple formula, allows for the computer-graphing of amazing and custom shapes! In the prove, I show that the parametric equations for x and y are just basic linear equations, which represent the range of x-values and the range of y-values. The combination of these two parametric equations represents just another equation of a line, but on a x-y graph. This is a very important proof video, which will be referenced in my later videos, so make sure to watch it, and let me know if you have questions about any part you don’t understand!

I don’t always represent line segments using parametric equations but when I do I make sure the parametric equations are line segments themselves ;)
