Ecclesiastes 7:9 (KJV) Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

The Bible classifies angry people as foolish people. So, a christian shouldn't be angry. We are the people who know God, let us run away from anger. It's the fool who says that there is no God, Psalms 53:1. We are not fools because we know God. Let us imbibe the doctrines of Jesus Christ and keep our hearts free from anger.

Pastor Eli Soriano has taught us through the help of the Holy Spirit not to nurse anger in our hearts. Let the word of God dwell in our hearts not the offense others have caused us. When we are angry we won't be able to preach the message of Jesus to the sinners. We won't be able to show the love of Christ to the oppressed. Anger will blind us from showing the love of God to others. So, the Christian should run away from anger by all means.

According to James Ephesians 4:31 and Colossians 3:8, we are admonished to do away with anger. That means anything that could ever make us angry, we should ignore it. We should try to avoid being angry with our spouses, with our children; with our parents; with our employees or employers; with whoever it is. It's natural for humans to react emotionally to offenses. But as new creations in Christ, let us do away with anger as we taught by the doctrines of Jesus.

Bro Eli has taken time to explain to us how we should handle situations that make us bitter. He said we should follow the way Jesus dealt with those who crucified then - He forgave them. Even Stephen forgave those who stoned him to death. We should learn to always be ready to forgive, in that way we won't be angry.

Also we are admonished to follow peace with all men. When we follow peace, we won't be angry. We will learn to forgive. When we forgive, our hearts will be free from anger.
