Studying the Word of God is more than just reading our daily Bible ration. The Word of God is our life as christians. Jesus said: The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life - John 6:63

How could you live if your breath is taken away from you? A christian who scarcely study the Bible is dead. In John 8:51, Jesus says: Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. Meaning any man who keeps not the words of Jesus is a dead man. So living, in the context of Christ followers, is keeping the Word of God.

Now, how do you keep, or follow, or obey what you don't know? To perfectly follow God, you must know His word. The word of God contains His precepts and commandments. We can't please God without obeying His commandments. John 15:14 says: Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you. And whatever He commands us is in His word.

Having a good relationship with God is dependent on our knowledge of His word. We follow God in His word. We relate with Him by following His word. To know God is to know His word. Therefore, we have to study God's word regularly so as to acquaint ourselves with God. Studying doesn't have Time frame. Do it every time if you can.

Read the Bible in the morning to enlighten your day. Read it in the afternoon during your free time to feed your spirit. Read it at night before bedtime. The more we read the scriptures, the more spiritually sensitive we will be.

A lot of people have problem hearing or understanding the voice of God. If you study your Bible regularly, hearing God's voice won't be difficult for you. The voice of God becomes clearer as we familiarize ourselves with the word of God.

It's also Worth noting that we are not just to speed-read the Bible. We are to meditate on it. Meditating means pondering over the truth and realities from the Word.

In conclusion, never forget that your success in life is catalyzed by reading, memorizing and meditating on the word of God. Joshua 1:8 (KJV) This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
