Last week I posted Asking Is anyone still selling Silver Rounds. I didn't have much success with that post getting anyone to step forward with rounds to sell me. Or at least that is what I thought. But after a couple of days, @shello popped into my Discord messages and offered a few names of people I should try contacting.
I sent out some messages and set out waiting. The next day I had a message from @sevinwilson that he did, in fact, still have some rounds he was willing to sell. He asked how many I wanted.
The question made me pause. I Really only wanted one. But I had an opportunity here. I thought for a moment before typing "Well, I really only wanted one. But why don't I get two in case I want to do a give away or something." We agreed to the price, I sent payment, and two days later, a couple of beautiful coins arrived.

I'm really pleased to have these coins, and I think very likely the "or something" part of my statement to Sevin is in play, as I'm not sure if I can bring myself to ship either of these off to someone else.
Besides, my son loves them, and fully intends to have a Steem account of his own as soon as I will let him. That may be sooner than I think...

So I didn't have any expectations on the numbers of the coins I received. But it was pretty cool to get sequential numbers, and 306 & 307 are way lower numbers than I could have hoped for. I'm not sure that in that range the number means much, and really, I would have been happy with any number in the range at all.
Initially to take the above picture I was going to just lay the coins on the certificates and be done with it. But I suffered from some sort of bout of OCD and had to make sure the right coin was on the right certificate. Wierd.... I don't usually obsess over such things. Maybe these coins have a power over me.
My precious....

So what do you guys think? Do I keep the coins to treasure? I am thinking one would go into my fire box for safe keeping, while I keep the other on display somewhere about the house where my son and I can both enjoy it.
Or am I being selfish to keep them both, and need to put one in the hands of another Steemian? There are only 1500 after all. And with all the folks there are on Steem, only a few of us get to have one. So maybe having two is being overly greedy.
Ultimately, I paid for them, so I'll do what makes sense to me. If I can't stand to part with one, I won't. But I welcome the community input to let me know what you think.
You could act as his editor. When you think he might be getting close to ready, you could put forward a deal. If he can write a post that you think is high quality enough to post, then he can get one, and you'll act as his editor, and approve posts.
As to the coins, it's up to you. I think you should put each in it's own case though, whatever you do with them. They're a moment in history.
Now I kind of want one eventually.
Those are pretty rad! I say keep them both for a while, maybe pass one down to your son someday.
Not sure what you should do with them, but I want one too!
I have some left for sale! :D
Excellent! Let’s chat, are you on discord?
Yes! Sevinwilson#5606
Those are very cool! I just recently got a couple of silver rounds myself, but I might have to add a steemit one to my collection...
Yes!!! You need to get you some! ;)
You know who to contact!!! :D
I am glad the coins have arrived! I still have a few left if anyone is interested! This was a smooth transaction!! :D
I say you keep them for yourself!
Mike I am so glad you were able to get these!
Mike,
Those should be kept with your family, they will ultimately become a family heirloom that can be stored easily, increase in value, and be treasured in the future by future generations of your kin folks.
Keep them and don't look back on the decision to do so.
Just my thoughts,
@sultnpapper
Great!! You found them!!!
Big hug

P.S. I'm waiting for your postcard ;-)
When I spin, @mikepm74, I always spin in your favour! I also remember every single time you fed me. You started feeding me 28 days ago and fed me 15.4 STEEM in total.Thank you for being good to me and helping me become stronger! Our common cause will help many people.
Yours, Spinny
I like very much when everyone who feeds me also reads my friend’s posts, so please visit @photolander and read what he has to say! Your name will also appear here. :-) Join my Discord server if you want to meet others: https://discord.gg/Mz2EZP3

I say keep them both! Your son seems stoked about them, and he surely needs one of his own. I need to track one down, myself. I was foolish not to order in the beginning. There are some contests going around, and you could possibly win a third to then pass it along to someone else, by doing a contest of your own. My daughter won one in a photography contest. She was pretty excited!
