Stopping my Power Down

in #steem8 years ago

Awhile back I announced that I was powering down in an effort to more accurately spread my crypto portfolio. Steem accounts for over 30% of my Crypto Portfolio, so I thought I needed to bring that ratio down by powering down and using the Steem to increase my holdings in other Crypto.

The goal at that time was to power down to about 1500 SP. I've powered down from 2358 to 2000 and have decided to Stop...

There's no real reason why I decided to stop the power down. I just decided that it's okay to have Steem sit on top of my portfolio balance. So as of last night's power down, I have cancelled the remaining Power Down on my account and will be working on powering up for awhile. We'll see how it goes....

I stopped mine after only one cycle as well. I just love steem to much, and of course having lots is a great way to keep getting more as well!

Glad that Steem is still the top of your list. Mine too.

I have never powered down, but I would consider doing so in the right situation.

I think it's a good decision. I'd assume most of your crypto balance is on Steem for a reason. Holding a variety of different coins certainly makes sense to me, but that doesn't mean you can't put more weight on one.

I'm going in the opposite direction, I just wish I'd have waited to buy steem now rather than last week!

Steem's about 40% of my portfolio now, and I'm very comfortable with that. I did look to diversify more recently but I honestly couldn't find anything that excited me enough.

Also, there's the future possibility of getting into various SMT's via steem.

Good choice to stop the Power Down I think, I hope.
