I was walking past the burger place in the market yesterday n i saw the help wanted sign in the window. It said 2 dollars worth amount an hour, for cleaning tables and taking trash out. I stood there for a second and did the math in my head. If i work there for 2 hours i get 4 dollars worth amount. But then i have to buy the bus ticket n maybe a drink cause its hot. So i really get almost 2 dollars for 2 hours of hard work.
Is it really worth it?
I dont think so. Specially not when i have my hive account minecraft340.
Last time, i wrote that post about kiwix and the offline library. It took me maybe 80 minutes to write it because i actually like talking about tech. I didnt have to wear a stupid uniform or listen to a boss yelling about dirty floors. I just sat in my room with my phone and typed the full post.

The cool thing about hive is that my post stays there. It gets votes for 7 days. Even when i am sleeping or at school the post is working for me. If i work at the burger shop the money stops the second i stop the work. That is the "manual labor trap" my dad talks about sometimes.
Plus i am learning real latest stuff here. I am learning about blockchains and how to talk to people online. flipping burgers doesnt teach you how to manage a digital wallet or how to grow a following. I would rather earn 1 dollar or less from a post i own than 4 dollars from a job where i am just a number.
Some people say kids are lazy but i dont think thats true. We just want to work on things that actually matter for the future. Why should i spend my summer smelling like old cooking oil. When i can build my own brand? Even if i only get a few dollars it feels better because i earned it with my brain.
My brain is worth more than a mop.
I think more teenagers should look into web3. Its not just about the money its about the freedom. I can post whenever i want. I dont have a schedule. If i want to spend all night coding a termux script i can. Then i can post about it and maybe buy a new game skin with the rewards.
