That Friday, the doors to the exhibition hall were open. I had just enough time to look at the paintings, and although I would have liked to stay longer, it was not possible. I also missed the official inauguration, which took place on January 12.
No, it was not possible for me to be present then because I had a performance of my own. In any case, it would be interesting to hear firsthand what prompted and inspired the painter Lina Fita to paint these works. The exhibition is called Impact.

Quite obvious - life itself has an impact, already from the moment we see this world and our senses gradually expand to its wonders. What makes an impression on us? Mother's voice and heartbeat that we have been listening to for the past couple of months. The touch, the smell of life which gradually captures more and more different nuances, our sight that sees the first smiles, light, and the play that light and darkness dance. Colours also arrive; we absorb everything, and everything leaves a mark and becomes a part of us. We grow together with our environment.

Of course, consciously or unconsciously everything leaves some impact on us. Even our inner world and thoughts can surprise us so that we think we don't recognize ourselves at some moments. Our thoughts sometimes create a mosaic of contrasting elements, but they are organized patterns in the chaos, can you see, how it is like a carpet of cold strokes on a fiery surface that can't be extinguished?

What impression would this lady get, if lost her long, thick, grey - or in this case blue hair?
If she didn't tell anyone where she was, what she was doing and what she was going through. Someone might notice the difference and ask. Some will not ask, so as not to make her sad. What impact will these drastic changes have on her, when she meets the cruel reality of a mirror?

On the other side, the colourfulness and joy of this world, that impressive bridge and the blue of the sky, the brightness of the sun that is looming, does this couple even see all that? When the entire universe is hidden in one silent view, when time stops, everything else can dissolve and dilute.

I stopped in front of this painting, thinking about a flower. Maybe a kind of sunflower that is searching for light but maybe this is just a paper windmill, impacted by strong winds that blow and make it spin. Quickly. In the end, it converts itself into a flower, if you want to see it in that way.

Not many words are needed for this painting. What we see on the surface, what makes an impact on us, a tree with a huge canopy can't stand alone, without props (visible or invisible) and roots. Many, many long roots to bring life.

A blue whale swimming (or floating) in the ocean. I don't know whether it seems happy or not, being framed in this painting. Interestingly, I am thinking about the environment at this moment and the ad on YouTube (as I am listening to music right now) is about humans littering around the beaches and oceans. Weird. This painting already made an impact then.

Yellow as the dominant colour of this painting titled cyclist should suggest optimism and life. Is it a sunny day, or an illuminated night - could be both. There are probably more in this one to be seen but I leave it here right now.

Which painting from this exhibition by the painter Lina Fita made an impact on you and in which way?

I'm a fan of blogging about art, bringing here the exhibitions I visit. There are so many exhibitions in our world that we won't get a chance to visit. I am glad that here we can share what we have seen and what we liked.
I like painting a lot and for now, I let the visual impact guide me, without too much analysis and philosophy, because I know there is little chance of understanding exactly what the artist wanted to express.
I believe that just as many artists have a clear idea and follow a script when they paint and want their message to reach the viewer, some artists leave it up to each of us to think we understand. I admit that I have difficulty, most of the time, understanding the message. I choose to enjoy the image and what resonates with me, even if I don't understand or can't express what I understand.
I liked the painting of the cyclist best. The majority of yellow hit me as soon as I saw it. I thought, unrelatedly, of sunflowers and summer. The yellow straw hat reinforced the feeling of summer... and I like summer. That's why I liked this painting.
Thanks for posting in this community that I didn't know about and I think is what I was looking for. So far I've posted about exhibitions and paintings in Photography Lovers, although I didn't find it the best choice.
Thanks again, @mipiano!
P.S. I've been meaning to tell you that the name you've chosen here in Hive is one of the most inspiring, and beautiful and best expresses your passion. I mean it defines you.
First of all, thank you for your lovely words, @bluemoon! What I do have passion for is the instrument I play, of course apart from many other things, but I always say that the piano is an inseparable part of me. For a lifetime.
Also, I am glad you found out about this community now, I think it is not the first you've found through some of my posts ;) I like diversity and different content, and I am sure you too. It is interesting... there is always some inspiration we get from others and we give to others. That energy between people is one of the nicest things on the platform 😊
With sincerity and pleasure, @mipiano!
Passion in what you do, when you are lucky enough to do what you love, is, I think, very important.
That's right, I found another community (Throwback Thursday) that interests me, thanks to you.
I saw that I had accessed this another community (Art Talk), but because I didn't post at the time, I forgot it existed. So thank you now that you reminded me. Because over the last few months I've been posting a lot about the exhibitions I've visited, especially painting (inspired by @erikah's posts) but I felt that posting in a photography community wasn't really that fair (besides posting fair photos). I really wanted to make a community myself for those who want to write about museums and art. I didn't do it because it would have been pointless, I don't have the notoriety needed to have visibility and influence.
It is very important, that is true. That is why I have chosen piano already when I was a child.
Maybe you can find out about another community, for example Hive Collectors :D
There is a new initiative I made for February, that starts today, but I have to confess this month is not easy... 😅
I saw this community of yours some time ago but I am not a "professional" collector and thought I would not be able to produce anything interesting. Now I have changed my mind and I think I will write something. I discovered that I have also collected a few items over time without thinking I was a collector.... Maybe I don't like to throw things away...
Thank you for bringing us to this art exhibition and sharing your opinions and thoughts about the works. The artist, of course, will have had her ideas in conceiving each of the paintings on display here, but the artists also know that each of us will see what we want or need to see. And that is why art is so meaningful, healing and powerful in its broad and diverse sense. ✨
You are one of those artists who make an impact here hahaha... ya, ya, ya... I'll tell you which one I like the most... mmmm.... well there are actually three of them and they are one after the other, like the carriages of a train.
True, it always happens. Artists have their ideas, and the audience can capture them or make their own interpretation that suits them. This applies to writing too, for example, or music etc. Haha, yeah, a huge artist I am. Well, trying is also good lol 😂
Lo eres. Punto.
I love this exhibition, there are so many good paintings with deep meaning. So cool!
Yes, they were so different and in each one, we could find a connection to the things we are surrounded by. I am glad you liked it, though it is not the kind of exhibitions you find. This is just a tiny, modest one 😊
An excellent reportage for this art exhibition @mipiano friend... Love that floating blue whale!... It's magical and produces an emotional response when looking at the painting... Although it seems to me that the work of the cyclist in yellow and blue produces an immediate visual impact and makes one think about the author and his concept... Thank you for sharing this, I sincerely love to see this kind of reports in #Hive... Great stuff!

I didn't know I would be a good reporter hahaha
Just a joke, I am glad I brought this little exhibition to Hive, hopefully, each one can find something meaningful in some of the paintings. 😇
A big hug, @jlinaresp

The last photo gives me the idea of a desolate beach after a strong wind knocked down the umbrella. And you can still see the storm clouds in the sky. I like the blue tones of the sky and the sea coming together there. That's how I interpret it. Beautiful suggestions from the painter. I read a phrase by Einstein that says "imagination is more important than knowledge, knowledge is limited and imagination surrounds the world" very interesting your proposal gives for many interpretations. Good Tuesday.🥰❤️
Oh, you spotted that painting, with the knocked-down umbrella. A good eye you have, @mamani, and you gave an excellent interpretation! 🙌
The phrase by Einstein is also great, thank you for bringing it here. A nice day to you too 😇
❤️❤️❤️
Another good art exhibit. Its vibrant colors transmit joy, vitality and optimism. I liked all of them. Hugs
You are an artist, so I am receiving your words with a lot of joy 😇
Thank you for checking out, @mdrguez :)
Thank you so much for the high praise..."artist" is too much...I'm just a creative craftswoman.🤪
We are all artists in something, haha, but you are an artist in creating the craft stuff :D
No veo fallas en tu lógica 🤔😂🤣.
Thank you so much for your contribution to Art Talk and this impactful exhibition!
And thank you for the space where we can bring these little artistic excursions to exhibitions, @sjarvie5 😇
A hug 🤗
I was struck by the one on the bridge, I found it very romantic and the colours very well chosen, with such a beautiful couple, I was touched by the environment and the atmosphere. I loved it!
The one of the whale too but .... was only one right?
Hugs @mipiano!😀
The picture with the bridge is great, isn't it? Not sure if it is romantic...? Maybe dramatic, but important for sure as I see it like when the time simply stops and when nothing else in the surroundings exists.
But you are a painter, you know better what is used to express certain emotions or situations. I just interpret it in my way haha :D
Hope you are having a nice evening, @avdesing 😇
That's the beautiful thing about art, that everyone can interpret different things, when I make the designs I get comments with different interpretations and that fascinates me!
Good night, have a good rest!✨
I was shocked by the painting of the tree and its roots, but that cyclist who doesn't know if he pedals day or night... wow. Incredible effect with only two colours. There is the artist's mastery. 😍
PD- I think you'll like my last post. 😘
And there is also mystery in our interpretations ;)
Who knows what the painter wanted to say and I saw it in this way hahaha
PD. me vengaré 😁 (claro que me gustó 🤗)
I can’t actually count the number of times I’ve been surprised by my own thoughts.
Consciously or unconsciously we actually think and do certain things we never thought we would
My favorite portrait is the third,I feel it speaks volumes of emotions
Yes, we do surprise ourselves sometimes. And how good is it when we achieve something that we never thought we could do. You are right. Thank you for checking out this exhibition 😊
You’re welcome
every painting looks very beautiful and full of meaning, I really like visiting museums, it is a beautiful museum
Thank you, I am glad you liked this exhibition :)

The fact that you were able to explain each artwork amazes me a lot. The paintings are really lovely
Nice one!
Nice pictures, I liked. I like its vibrant colors. I did not know the artist's work.
Thank you @beaescribe, I am glad you liked it 😇
When I saw where she was from, I remembered you 😉
Oh, perdón, escribí mi comentario en inglés. 😅
Un abrazo, Xavi 😇
