Some Hivers walked together here

in Wednesday Walk2 months ago (edited)

I won't even count all the Wednesdays or months that have passed since this walk... it is enough to see that we were wearing winter/spring jackets and know that it was a long time ago. And that it wasn't summer, that is for sure.

The title of another post I saw today prompted me to start thinking about publishing a Wednesday Walk post today. That Hiver (thanks for the inspiration) wrote that we should look in all directions while walking... after reading that, I realised that maybe I do look in all directions, but that I've stopped taking photos of the little things I see while we walk. True, I didn't have time to walk every day, although walking/biking to work is enough of a walk in itself, but that part where I would be inspired to take a picture of something somehow quieted down in me. Maybe it is because I know that I already have a ton of photos that are in the waiting list to be published one day. I should first start working on them.

So, that is how I took my phone and checked what walk I could bring you today... Scrolling in the gallery... ok we are already months away from today 😂. It was an afternoon when we walked to this fortress in the company of some other Hivers that you see in the first photo (spoiler alert - the identity of them will be seen better in the last section of this post).

The sun was already quite low, getting ready for sunset. I love seeing those mountains in the distance, even though the pictures aren't the nicest when you are looking towards the sun. Everything is kind of yellowish, but our guest, who was in our town that weekend, loved all those colours, both the buildings and the mountains.

Padlocks seem to be in fashion everywhere, even in places like this where there is practically no tourism.

After looking into the distance from this small viewpoint, we started to descend through the narrow streets of the old town. I know that there is a house here with painted stones, arranged on the fence of the house and around the front door so I wanted to pass by it.

At that time, when I first saw these interesting stones, I did not yet have the Kindness Rocks community, I just found them cute and interesting. I know it was long ago, but I still like these cute characters.

Messages and more paintings around the entrance door, with a dragon and a fairy.

One of the next stops was the little church, the chapel Ermita del Santíssim Crist del Monte Calvari, as in its whole name in the Valencian language. You can watch through a little hole in the front door of the church and the lights on the altar switch on in that moment. I know that many people come here to give thanks and to pray.

More stairs leading down... to the next chapel. Here we see its dome and the setting sun in the distance.

This second chapel is Ermita Sant Bonifaci, which also has just a plain, white facade, so I took a photo featuring both chapels at the same time to see that they are indeed two - similar but not the same ones!

Being up on the fort and slowly descending meant that we also had to climb back up again to reach the car we had parked behind the castle. Our guest was exhausted... I don't think she was expecting to walk this much that afternoon. 😅 The best thing to make up for this was to recharge our batteries and take a little rest in a cafe.

Here, we finally reveal our identities! 😜

We got popcorn...

Hmm, that won’t do. One of the hivers didn’t reveal their identity. And the last time I saw him/her, was flying!! 😱

What a lovely walk you took us on, that evening light really enhances the magical atmosphere, and enjoying it in such good company is brilliant.

When I saw the painted stones, I thought you’d got the idea for your community from there. I liked the ones featuring Mafalda and her friends, but I prefer these ones – they’re more Kindness. 😍

Ver, oír y tragar.

Me uno al lema de Maruja, jajaja.

A big hug, my dear. 💕

Hahaha, yeah, that Hiver had to leave the little walking-meeting later. But in the shadows photo, it is the 4 of us 😁

Very kind kindness rocks, that is true 😇 Gracias, un abrazo 🤗

What a lovely walk! Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos with us. ❤️

Lovely walk it was indeed, with that cool company we had 😉

What a lovely walk! I bet everything feels a lot more enjoyable when being accompanied by Hivers, doesn't it? 😎

It certainly does! We had a good leisure time after our rehearsals 🎶 :)

Wow, I wish I had some views like that on my walks! Mine are basically just open fields and weeds! This weekend I might get some good shots though!

We are surrounded by mountains here, but wait - open fields sound more than nice!! 😍

You are most welcome!! ❤️

Hello, it is a very nice post. You are very special for finding some hidden gems. I am very impressed by your search for the house full of kindness rocks. Greetings.

Hello @hindavi

That is a kind of house we both would like to visit often, right? 😉 Those are some happy kindness rocks!!

After seeing that, I felt I should make one like that. 😊 In the Indian garden.

Good evening @mipiano, thank you for sharing this walk with so many wonderful elements: fellow Hivers sharing an excursion, beautiful light, padlocks (I'm not sure if this last element is essential), and those stones that whisper such precious messages.

The end of the walk is perfect: drinks and snacks while chatting about Hive or other things.

Big hugs to all three of you.

Good afternoon @enraizar, I think that one of the nicest things for fellow Hivers is when they can meet and have such walks, right? I wish you a nice afternoon, hopefully in some shade or in a cooled-down office/home :)

Good afternoon @mipiano, I can now say, from experience, that walking with hivers is a very special experience... yesterday I was accompanied by Mr. Headache... I'm fine now.

Have a great weekend!

Good evening @enraizar. Oh no, Mr Headache visited you? It would be better if he just took a walk with Miss Migraine, like a long walk far, far away from any of us 😁

I am glad you are now fine 😊

That's a very good idea... I'll suggest it to Mr. Headache on my next visit (although I hope it's a while before I come back). Thank you very much @mipiano. 🙏

What can I say... a fortress, incredible views and precious stones!!! You don’t need anything else on a walk... and time? Time doesn’t exist, that walk was only a short while ago, ha ha ha, such beautiful views!!😃

A fortress, your weakness as well :D

I hope you know whose post I was referring to at the beginning of the post 😉

¡Buenos días!

Yes! I do remember it, although I can’t recall the exact date, my head isn’t working properly at the moment. 😆

Good evening. How is your mom? How did everything go?

It’s been a very long day. The operation went well, although there were a few complications, as she has high eye pressure in that eye due to the cataract, and her pupil wouldn’t dilate properly for the operation. She got nervous and her blood pressure rose to 17… but in the end they went ahead with the operation. This time she is feeling pain in her eye, whereas last time she didn’t. So she’s nervous. But the doctor said everything went well.

Buenas noches!😘

The good thing is that the operation went good, but I am sorry she feels pain in her eye... I hope it improves today! 🙏

Best wishes for her ❤️

Buenos días ;)

She’s got a check-up in a little while; we’ll see how it all goes. Thanks for being there! 💗

What a great walk and really beautiful views, especially at sunset. That door with the dragon on it and rocks around it was so colorful. I think the person that owns that place must be a very friendly person!

Seeing the sun setting behind the mountains is so nice. I haven't met the owner of that house, but it must be indeed as you say! 😇

Beautiful place and view, old building and still good. Thank you.

Thank you!

It's such a beautiful place; I hope we can visit there someday

Thank you very much! :)

Those are a very beautiful stones and the best time to walk in that place is during the sun is not yet hot in the morning or after the sun is out before the evening.

Now in summer, that would definitely be the best time of the day, though in winter or early spring, I prefer midday for walks.

Nice shots and very good post @mipiano friend!

Thank you @jlinaresp, hugs and strength to you!

the atmosphere you captured in these photos is rich and engaging making every image worth spending time with

Thank you :)

Beautiful photos!! It really is so hard to stop to take photos when walking- or driving, hiking, biking.. really anything in motion! I always regret not stopping and never regret stopping; so I try to remember that when I am having the internal debate of “do I stop for this photo”

Yes, I don't regret it either when I stop to take some photos. Although it is not always the best option to stop often to take photos, as then we are not moving forward on our walk 😅

Congratulations, your post has been added to The WorldMapPin Map! 🎉
