Is that a guitar in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me 😉 Wow what a big one you have @molometer - and you certainly know how to tickle it right !COFFEEA
I tried one from my phone at home where the upload is much quicker than our holiday cottage, but it never appeared. I am not sure if I need to be logged into both Steem and DTube these days. I am not sure if I actually claimed the latter account.
I asked on their discord and was reminded that there was a key file I downloaded when I claimed the account. Got that now. I do wonder how less technical people cope.
I'm pretty sure most people who come to steem abandon it at the first step. (Getting an account)
It is way to complicated for the average person. That is not to say that the public are stupid. Just the fact that they have never come across such a convoluted method of signing up to any network.
Yes they have to create a username and password etc but then we go on to baffle them with 3 separate keys! Then on to crypto tokens and the various keys that do different things!
I think we should/could learn from bitshares.
One name does everything in one hit.
It wouldn't take much code to write a script in Python to accomplish an easier sign up method.
I know that a few people are trying something like this above already.

@dtube seems to be super stable now. Try an upload to test it out?

Sounds like you have figured it out.
You do have to be logged into both dtube and steemit for the video to be shared to the steemit front end.

Good to hear that you got it sorted out. Steve.
