The English Riviera is located on the Devon coast of England. It is a great place for surfing but...
After a week of heavy rain on this holiday we were hoping for some sunshine. It hasn't happened...yet?
After a year in lockdowns we had high hopes that life would return to some kind of normality.
The holiday market in the UK is a dead duck and even though people cannot travel oversees just now. They are not booking holidays in the UK no matter what you may see in the mainstream media. The place we are at is dead.
This holiday demonstrates why us Brits usually holiday overseas if we can afford it. The UK weather sucks.
For example today May 20th 2021 we had a massive storm with gale force winds reaching up to 73+ miles per hour which actually made me laugh.
We are in a caravan on the coast and the whole caravan is shaking. It feels like it may get blown over at any moment!
This is England and the weather generally sucks if you are a sun lover.
The upside is that I got some great photos of the stormy seas which I will share when I complete my review of the Canon 75-300 mm lens.
It may be very invigorating to be blasted by gale force winds but some sunshine would be welcome 😂👍

We've got the whole place to ourselves. It's very odd because apparently the park is fully booked but no one is around?
The upside of the stormy weather is that I got some very dramatic seascapes. Very moody.👍

Hope you and the caravan survive the storm. It's been windy here too, but so real damage that I've seen. We've had every kind of weather already this year.

We made it through the night OK but it was very windy and the caravan was creaking and moving around a bit. Luckily it is chained down so it seems that they are used to these high winds?

That is a real bummer to get a batch of bad weather for vacation.
Yep it's a bit of a pain but still nice to be beside the seaside for a couple of weeks.
We've booked another holiday in two weeks time. Hopefully summer will arrive? 😂👍

I can hardly wait to see the gale force winds taking the water away, but, I agree. A little sunshine is not too much to ask for!
I got some dramatic seascapes but when the sun did come out we visited some spectacular places. Tropical gardens! In England? 😂👍
