I took this photo of a Swan playing peek-a-boo on a recent visit to the shores of Lake Windemere in Cumbria. It is a fabulous part of the country to travel around with spectaular landscapes and mountainous terrain and lots of wildlife.
Animal photography can be very tricky as the animal is almost always moving but it is great fun to try to get a clear photo.
This swan was obviously very used to people and just stood in front of me while I sat on the bench taking photos of it.
Now you see me
Now you don't

I go this way to the health club there are always Swans, Geese and Ducks, The Low Wood just outside Ambleside on the banks of Windermere.
I was impressed by how tame they all are. They just wandered amongst the tourists without a care in the world.
I bet it gets really busy there in the summer time?
It certainly does, it’s constant pretty much all of the time a lot of international visitors too, did you go on the Topless bus or the boat? they both head to Ambleside, the bus continues to Grasmere where you can get some world famous ginger bread.
We took a boat trip around the lake and saw where the Bluebird came to grief.
Stunning landscapes all around the place. I did a few blogs you might recognise the places listed above.
You are right that is what would happen to me.
I was so pleased to have the Swan come up and pose. It was a beauty.
It is .. gorgeous
