Hello Hive

A happy weekend to us all. I hope that as many of us were able to get as much rest as possible during the weekend.
From our own end weekend is mostly out most important days of work as we often get more hands to assist us with one or two things in the farm.
Yesterday we after making preparation for the planting of rice for this year. We started with clearing the land where the rice seedlings will first be grown in their own beds before the later transplanting where we will be taking and transplanting them in the main field.

Having completed our work for the day and on our way home, I discovered this new specie of cassava that was so fascinating.
It has been noted that the size of the stems and the external growth feature of the cassava we see outside often determines the sizes of the tubers that can be produced.
If you have a healthy cassava stems and leaves growing this thick and large in sizes, there is no doubt that the stems under will be as big as this as well.

In all of the cassava specie I have been planting all my life, I have never seen this type before, this will be the best and most profitable specie that one can plant.
Cassava are not difficult to grow like other crops, so long as you are able to cultivate the land; cut some stem and plang in the soil, the only difficult task is the weeding of the land which is not difficult especially when you have selective herbicides to help out.

Once all of these are in place, there will be no need for fertilizer especially when the land is fertile enough. With the numerous specie of cassava available and their various life span, planting a good one like this will amount to good harvest.
The beautiful here now is that once a quality cassava specie enters a community, everyone can get from the stems to plant in their own farm.
Cassava is planted using the stems propagation methods. People can come and break out of this quality ones and discard any unproductive ones they have.
