Wir wollten gerade mit dem Abendessen beginnen, als draußen der Hund anschlug.
Um die Ecke kam ein alter Freund japanisch / brasilianischer Abstammung und bekannt in der Gegend für seine außergewöhnliche Hausmannskost.
Vor einigen Wochen schenkte ich dem guten Mann ein paar Kilo frischen Spargel aus meinem Garten, da wir selbst genug davon hatten und dafür wollte er sich gestern überraschenderweise erkenntlich zeigen.
Die Überraschung gelang ihm und mein Liebchen und ich schauten verzweifelt auf unser Abendessen, ein deftiges Thunfisch Steak und auf die zwei Schüsseln die der aufgetauchte Besucher in der Hand hielt.
Schnell war klar, das wir damit restlos überfordert waren.

Around the corner came an old friend of Japanese / Brazilian descent and known in the area for his exceptional home cooking.
A few weeks ago I gave the good man a few kilos of fresh asparagus from my garden, as we had enough of it ourselves and for this, he surprisingly wanted to show his appreciation yesterday.
The surprise succeeded him and my sweetheart and I looked desperately at our dinner, a hearty tuna steak, and on the two bowls the visitor held in his hand.
It quickly became clear that we were completely overwhelmed.
Der Sushi Meister stellte sein Kunstwerk auf den Tisch, grinste, wünschte guten Appetit und verschwand wieder.
Liebchen griff zum Telefon und lud spontan zwei Freunde zum Abendessen ein, die dankend annahmen und schon kurz darauf hatte sich die bunte Kreation aus Fisch, Früchten, Algen und Reis in Wohlgefallen aufgelöst.
The sushi master put his work of art on the table, grinned, wished good appetite, and disappeared again.
Sweetheart picked up the phone and spontaneously invited two friends to dinner, who gratefully accepted, and shortly thereafter the colorful creation of fish, fruit, seaweed, and rice had dissolved into thin air.
Alle Beteiligten an diesem Festessen waren sich der gelungenen Überraschung einig und angeregt wurde über das kulinarische Meisterwerk geplaudert und die Verdauung mit ein paar Medronho Schnäpschen angeregt.
Ein gelungener Abend.

Meine Wenigkeit, mittlerweile ein alter Hase im Fotocollagen Zirkus, weiß zwar noch immer nicht wirklich was er da treibt, aber herauskommen doch immer wieder mal ganz lustige Bildchen wie zum Beispiel dieses.
My humble self, meanwhile an old hand in the photo collage circus, still doesn't know what he's doing, but now and then funny pictures come out, like this one.
Da mit solchen Spielereien aber kein Preis zu gewinnen ist, sind die Werke der kreativen Mitstreiter doch auf einem höheren Level angekommen, musste etwas raffinierteres her.
Also bastelte ich noch zwei weitere Werke, die mir jedes für sich, auf seine Art gefiel.
Since with such gimmicks no prize is to be won, the works of the creative comrades-in-arms but arrived at a higher level, something more sophisticated had to come.
So I made two more works, each of which I liked in its way.
Bei längerer Betrachtung stellte ich fest, das die zwei Kunstwerke gut miteinander harmonieren können, wenn man die passende Geschichte dazu erzählt.
Die COSTA VINCENTINA im Westen Portugals, wurde in den 80iger Jahren zum Naturpark erklärt und unter Naturschutz gestellt.
Dies hatte unter anderem zur Folge, das es verboten war größere Bauprojekte, wie zum Beispiel Hotels und ähnliches zu bauen, um den Erhalt der in Europa einmaligen Flora und Fauna zu gewährleisten.
Eine gute und wichtige Idee wie ich fand.
Doch wie so oft machte es die Macht des großen Geldes möglich, bestehende Gesetze zum Schutz der Natur zu umgehen und so geschah es fast, das internationale Öl Multis vor der geschützten Küste mit Bohrungen nach dem schwarzen Gold begannen.
Glücklicherweise wurde dieses Vorhaben in letzter Minute, durch massive Proteste der Bevölkerung gestoppt und die Bewohner wie der Naturpark konnten erst mal wieder beruhigt durchatmen.
Doch das Drama nahm seinen Lauf.
Zwar konnte man die zerstörerischen Ölbohrungen stoppen, aber gegen die Milliardenschweren Bauunternehmer, die in den folgenden Monaten damit begannen Luxus Hotels und riesige Appartement Anlagen, inmitten des unter Naturschutz stehenden Gebietes zu errichten, hatte man keine Chance und die Landschaft veränderte sich in den folgenden Jahren zusehends.
When I looked at them for a while, I realized that the two works of art can harmonize well with each other, if you tell the right story.
The COSTA VINCENTINA in the west of Portugal, was declared a nature park in the 80s and placed under conservation.
This had among other things the consequence, that it was forbidden to build larger building projects, like hotels and the like, to ensure the receipt of the flora and fauna unique in Europe.
A good and important idea as I found.
But as often happens, the power of big money made it possible to circumvent existing laws to protect nature and so it almost happened that international oil multinationals started drilling for black gold of the protected coast.
Fortunately, this project was stopped at the last minute by massive protests of the population, and the residents, as well as the nature park, could breathe easy again.
But the drama took its course.
Although the destructive oil drilling could be stopped, against the billionaire developers, who began in the following months to build luxury hotels and huge apartment complexes in the middle of the protected area, they had no chance and the landscape changed visibly in the following years.
Zurück zur Kunst!
Als ich nun meine zwei kreativen Ergüsse betrachtete, fiel mir auf das sie sich doch recht ähnlich sehen, aber wirken als wären sie zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten entstanden.
Eines in der Zeit als man die Natur noch gewähren ließ und das andere als Geld das Kommando in der geschützten Zone übernahm.
Unter diesem Aspekt fügte ich die zwei zusammen und schicke das daraus entstandene Kunstwerk ins Rennen, um den großen Preis der #LMAC.
Back to the art!
When I now looked at my two creative outpourings, I noticed that they look quite similar, but act as if they were created at different times.
One in the time when nature was still allowed and the other when money took over the command in the protected zone.
With this in mind, I put the two together and send the resulting artwork into the running for the #LMAC grand prize.
Oh je, da habe ich heute wohl etwas weit ausgeholt.
Ich hoffe ihr hattet trotzdem Euren Spaß, ich hatte ihn jedenfalls.
