Tutorial de ojitos: esta vez digital
This is the version of the little eyes tutorial that I made in traditional format, this time brought to digital format. More than a tutorial, it's a style guide, created by a Twitter (aka X) user that I adapted to my style, my knowledge, and my techniques. I think it's a very useful visual guide that helps me explore and learn much more about the style I like to draw. For this practice, I used Ibis Paint as a drawing tool. I share with you the final result and the explanation of each type of eye created.
Esta es la versión del tutorial de ojitos que hice en formato tradicional, esta vez llevado al formato digital. Más que un tutorial, es una guía de estilo, realizada por un usuario de Twitter (aka X) que yo adapté a mi estilo, mis conocimientos y mis técnicas. Creo que es una guía visual muy útil y que me ayuda a explorar y conocer mucho más sobre el estilo que me gusta dibujar. Para esta práctica utilicé Ibis Paint como herramienta de dibujo. Les comparto el resultado final y la explicación de cada tipo de ojo realizado.
Simple Shadow: A common, ordinary eye with shadow under the upper eyelid and some simple sparkles.
Sparkle: Like the previous one but much brighter, with a large star‑shaped highlight and small dotted yellow illuminations.
White Pupil: Giving a slight sense of bewilderment or being stunned; here the most striking feature is the wide, completely white pupil right in the center.
Classic Shojo: The classic eye from 90s and early 2000s anime, with that big white highlight and evoking a lot of tenderness.
Simple Shadow: Un ojo común y corriente con sombra debajo del párpado superior y algunos brillitos simples.
Sparkle: Como el anterior pero mucho más brillante, con un gran brillo en forma de estrella y pequeñas iluminaciones amarillas de puntitos.
White Pupil: Dando un poco la sensación de desconcierto o estar anonadado; aquí lo que más resalta es la pupila amplia y completamente blanca justo en el centro.
Classic Shojo: El ojo clásico de los animes de los 90 y principios de los 2000, con esa gran iluminación blanca y evocando mucha ternura.
Heart: A heart in the center of the eye that makes it shine, the classic look of someone who is in love.
The Void: for those mysterious and otherworldly characters.
Galaxy: A large eye with a striking pupil, many illuminations and some sparkles, but above all highlighting the colorful iris.
Blurred Dot: An eye with defocused pupil and highlight.
Heart: Un corazón en el centro del ojo que lo hace brillar, la mirada clásica de quien está enamorado.
The Void: para esos personajes misteriosos y de otro mundo.
Galaxy: Un ojo grande con una pupila llamativa, muchas iluminaciones y algunos brillitos, pero sobre todo destacando lo colorido del iris.
Blurred Dot: Un ojo con pupila y brillo desenfocado.
Cat: The mysterious gaze of a feline.
Jewel: many sparkles, many highlights, like a precious stone, for when the character is amazed.
Color Pupil: In this eye, the pupil and iris share the same color. And lastly,
Shiny Iris: More than highlights, an eye full of reflections. And that's it, these were all the eyes from the exercise. Thank you for joining me in drawing.

Jewel: muchos brillos, muchas iluminaciones, como una piedra preciosa, para cuando el personaje esté asombrado.
Color Pupil: En este ojo, la pupila y el iris comparten color. Y por último,
Shiny Iris: Más que brillos, un ojo lleno de reflejos. Y listo, estos fueron todos los ojos del ejercicio. Gracias por acompañarme dibujando.
