Approaching the edge of the forest, I heard the loud croaking of a rook. Coming closer, I saw a lonely sitting rook on the tree, which was croaking all the time. It seemed that he was calling someone, but no one answered him.
Looking closely, I noticed that the rook has a very strange appearance. Its plumage is not completely black. In many places, the feathers were light in color.
The rook himself was somehow unkempt. Rooks usually had their feathers shiny, but this one had dull feathers.
He looked sad, tired. Feathers were disheveled in many places.
It seemed that he was definitely after a fight.
Although he came close enough to him, he did not fly anywhere, but periodically continued to croak.
This went on for about 10 minutes. But then, seeing that no one responds, the rook began to move along the branch, and then with a heavy flapping of its wings took off and flew towards the forest.
You are right, its feathers don't look good, could it be that it is in a total molt of plumage?
