Peace,
I am glad that you have the time to read my journey with fruits.
It has been a long time since I ate the sweet Dates in Benin.
This fruit from the Dates' trees is not growing under our climate conditions near the equator line.
Sweet Fruits
The sugar content in dates is extremely high, and that sugar gets more and more intense as dates dry and moisture leaves the fruit.
Dates contain enough sugar to energize my body in the most healthy way for twenty-four hours.
I am a huge consumer of this fruit, so the scarcity of Dates in my region forces me to order a huge bag from Maghreb Morocco.
The season has passed therefore the date prices are soaring in the cities. The quantity available in the picture is the equivalent of 0.5 Hive.
Diversity of flavors
I have discovered through research on the dates that people can enjoy it fresh. However, many people prefer the rich flavor of their dried form. It was also demonstrated that the drying process increases sugar concentration and levels of certain minerals.
Thank you for your attention
Peace

I've heard so much about it though but never tasted it before 😅. According to some research it contains 60 grams of sugar. I hope that's not too much. It might be good for pregnant women though some research says when a pregnant woman ate 6 dates per day 1 month before delivery, their labor will be much shorter and easier.
I love your photography, thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day 🤗🤗. Sorry, I didn't ask, are you from Benin?
Thank you so much for the comment
I am from the Republic of Benin.
You are right the amount of natural sugar in the dates is considerable. I believe it won't cause too much harm if one person consumes less than a kilogram per month.
Yeah, that's cool!
