Die französische Firma Ledger, die sich auf die Herstellung von Hardwarewallets spezialisiert hat, stellt nun den neuen Ledger Nano X vor. Das X Modell ist der Nachfolger des Nano S und hat nun zusätzlich zum größeren Display auch mehr Speicherplatz für dApps. Dabei ist die Gesamtgröße gleichgeblieben und entspricht der eines handelsüblichen USB-Sticks.
Gänzlich neu ist die Bluetoothfunktionalität, mit welcher sich der Nano X mit dem Smartphone koppeln lässt, um mit der hauseigenen App Ledger Live alle Accounts auch drahtlos verwalten zu können. Der Ledger Nano X kann für etwa 120 Euro vorbestellt werden und wird voraussichtlich im März ausgeliefert werden. (Wobei das Timing beim Release des Nano S aufgrund des Ansturms nicht eingehalten werden konnte – Ob es bei der aktuellen Marktsituation ebenfalls zum sofortigen Ausverkauf der ersten Charge kommt, ist eher fraglich.)
Voller Spannung wandert der Blick der Hacker in Richtung der drahtlosen Verbindung: Ist sie zumeist eine der größten Schwachstellen in puncto Sicherheit. Ob das eigens dafür entwickelte Sicherheitsprotokoll lange genug durchhält… wir werden sehen. Zumindest optisch macht das Teil einen sehr guten Eindruck. Alles andere werden die Tests im März zeigen.

Sieht schick aus, aber da ich schon einen Ledger Nano S habe, denke ich, bin ich gut versorgt.
ja cool das die entwicklung weitergeht. bluetooth würde ich erstmal nicht nutzen aber der grössere speicherplatz ist oder wird bestimmt interessant. lg michael
