After three days in a row spent on quite demanding trekking, it was time for a radical change in the way we spend our free time. My legs hurt, the first calluses appear on my legs, it's time to take a break from the mountains and go to the lake. When you think about an Italian mountain lake, probably in 90% of cases what comes to mind is the huge, but also very popular Lake Garda.
The lake has an area of 370 square kilometers, stretches for about 55 kilometers, and reaches north so far into the mountains that even before the First World War its northern shores belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The most popular and very cheap option for accommodation on Lake Garda is camping in a tent site. We had the opportunity to drive along the entire eastern shore of the lake and I assure you that 80% of the shoreline is densely built up, mostly with campsites. We found our place to recharge our batteries at a campsite near the town of Crero. All you had to do was leave the tent, walk past the bar, cross the road and you could jump into the extremely pleasantly warm water. We swam a bit, ate some fruit, drank wine at sunset, and in the morning we did it again, but this time without wine. In one word, this day spent at the lake was relaxation in its purest form. Rested and with recharged batteries, we could continue our journey.

Po trzech dniach z rzędu spędzonych na dość wymagających trekkingach przyszła pora na radykalną zmianę formy spędzania wolnego czasu. Nogi bolą, pierwsze odciski pojawiają się na nogach, przyszła pora aby zrobić przerwę od gór i pojechać nad jezioro. Jeśli myśli się o Włoskim górskim jeziorze, to chyba w 90 % przypadków na myśl przychodzi ogromne, ale także bardzo popularne jezioro Garda.
Jezioro ma powierzchnie aż 370 kilometrów kwadratowych, rozciąga się na długości około 55 kilometrów, i sięga na północ tak daleko między góry, że jeszcze przed pierwszą wojną światową jego północne brzegi należały do Cesarstwa Austro-Węgierskiego. Najpopularniejsza i bardzo tania opcja noclegowania nad jeziorem Garda jest kempingowanie na polu namiotowym. Mieliśmy okazję przejechać się wzdłuż całego wschodniego brzegu jeziora i zaręczam, że 80% linii brzegowej jest ciasno zabudowane właśnie w większości polami namiotowymi. My znaleźliśmy swój zakątek na naładowanie baterii na polu namiotowym koło miasteczka Crero. Wystarczyło wyjść z namiotu, przejść koło baru, przejść przez drogę i już można było wskakiwać do niezwykle przyjemnie ciepłej wody. Trochę popływaliśmy, zjedliśmy trochę owoców, wypiliśmy winko o zachodzie słońca, a rano powtórka, tyle że tym razem bez wina. Jednym słowem ten dzień spędzony nad jeziorem to był relaks w najczystszej postaci. Wypoczęci z naładowanymi bateriami mogliśmy ruszać w dalszą drogę.
