Growing your crypto

Sewing seeds

If you are new to crypto gardening it can be a daunting experience. The first step on this botanical journey is choosing the right seeds. There is a wide variety of seeds out there, and the task of choosing the right seed for you can be a challenge.

Some gardeners want a display of colour within a couple of months of planting, annual plants are great for this but the blooms don't last forever and you will find yourself having to start from seed again the next year. If you are willing to make a longer term investment and have the patience to wait, then a biennial or perennial may be the plant for you.

Take the time to explore the conditions you will be growing your crypto garden in. What is the soil type? Do you have access to plenty of fertiliser? Do you have sunny days or is the forecast stormy? Above all, do your research in order to select a seed that is right for you and the conditions.

The great thing about crypto is that you can sow your seeds at anytime of the year. Sow a single seed, 4cm deep, in a pot filled with seed compost. Water the seed well and place in a sunny position to germinate, and don't forget to add a label so that you can keep track of its growth. Seedlings may struggle to cope with the conditions outside if the temperature drops suddenly, so keep an eye on all forecasts.

If you have picked the correct seeds and conditions are favourable then hopefully you will begin to see some growth in your crypto garden.

One of your most awesome posts creative lady ! I like all of them anyways but your creativity is endless 🌺🌸🦋

Thank you @mammasitta! I had a lot of giggles making this one.

There are rumors of giant crypto beanstalk seeds, which will allow you to climb to the giants cave near the moon, and steal his golden egg laying goose.

I think this may be another Satoshi Nakamoto myth.

Brilliant! When is the best time to harvest?

It's tricky , it's catching the fruit when it's ripe before a potential frost.

A potential frost can be too late to notice?

That's why you have to do your research and keep an eye on the forecasts.

Stressful but good plan.

Oh yes, it's not for the faint hearted.

I will look on trading if i can put it in my repertoire ;)

Very creative and well played!

Happy you liked the post @kus-knee!

Lol! Nice @opheliafu:)

Thanks @steemit-life, I like to do these serious and informative posts every now and then as a break from my more whimsical artwork.

Oh but of course @opheliafu! Carry on...carry on:) lol

You must choose carefully so as not to choose a crypto seed that will just die or get stolen from you too.

That is a very good point- seed security is vital. There are plenty of pests and predators out there- maybe a future post?

Brilliantly done @opheliafu I am so thankful to be a part of this amazing gardening adventure!

Happy to have a fellow gardener such as yourself joining us.

Hahahaha, super post, analogy and artwork! Like your style! Am still in the learning curve of cryptoworld, so at the moment no real seed information. What I did learn is short term trading can be profitable but takes hours at a time concentrating on the trading screens and deciding when to buy and sell. But can be done without knowledge of the crypto industry, any coin is good for such trading method, that is at least what I think.

I'm buying cryptoseeds, anyone? :D

Sounds like a great plan!

Beautiful! I presume it's never too late to start your garden, many may currently be thinking they've missed the season this year. (including me!)

There are new seeds being developed all the time.

I have the utmost respect for you! This is pure creativity my friend.
Can you grow me some Steem too? :D

Greetings and keep the good work

I think you are doing very well with your Steem plants. They seem to be growing very nicely, especially in these favourable conditions.
I hope you can join us again for some future gardening tips- maybe you will share some of your own!?

I have three seeds currently. Steem, BTC and SYS. They all do well and will shine bright :)

I try to regularly feed and water my Steem to keep it growing.

Amazing art...Amazing concept...I really like ,upvoted and followed you..I am excited to your future post

Thank you @bibek, there are a few more crypto art posts in my blog- feel free to browse! :D

You welcome..I will definitely browse your crypto art posts

What a beautiful post! So original! I wish I could grow crypto like that!

Cool post! Love it

Thanks @brettpickett! Steem on!

Haha amazing post!

Thanks @arsenal49, I'm glad you like it :D

I love this, beautiful x

Thanks @toonpunk . I think you started your crypto garden at a good time.

I had all the seeds, I just needed somebody to show me where to sew them, thank you

Good information . I am still learning .

Feel free to share any pictures of your crypto plants! ;D

Quick I need to plant a Steem Tree!!!!

I think @silviabeneforti has planted one of those too, it's looking pretty cool.

:) I need to plant an orchard...
I made this post today about this crypto art puzzle created by an artist...if you solve it you win 210 Litecoin!
https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@digicrypt/win-210-ltc-for-solving-litecoin-segwit-crypto-puzzle-contest
It is cool seeing other people sharing art, crypto and cryptography!
I haven't had a lot of time to work on anymore crypto art lately.
Maybe we could collaborate. I could develop a crypto system and code and you could incorporate it into something beautiful! It would be a cool way to promote Steemit. Just a thought.
All the best!

I've checked it out- yikes!
A collaboration sounds good!

Awesome! Do you have an account on Steemit.chat? If not you can always email me at [email protected] I will have to give it some thought but I definitely think we can create something pretty cool and unique!

It looks very beautiful!!!

Happy you like it! Keep on drawing, they look fab!

Thank you. Today i posted about myself :)

That's interesting ! I would appreciate permacultural guides about crypto-plants guilds (which crypto-seeds grows the best together or share the sames predators, what are the best mix) ! Spring is here, it's time to plant, summer will be hot !

I'm currently growing calendula plants to help keep the aphids off my other plants this summer, I have yet to try them with the crypto plants- but will update if it works!

Beautiful as always, wish my Crypto garden looked so good :)

I think the Steem flowers are rather beautiful though.

I want a Crypto garden like yours :)

to add...

also, what types of seeds do you want to grow...?

many people might just be looking at the profit potential when choosing investments - however, it's important to keep in mind that each investment is a supporting of a project, putting energy into a venture to help it succeed.

there might be some shitcoin that you could make money off with some pump and dump - but in a way, that'd kind of be just like a weed, strangling the rest of the garden for some quick, selfish, temporary growth - whereas a beautiful rosebush or cherry tree might take alot longer to bear fruit, but adds to a very lush garden in the long-term that is a pleasure to be in.

personally, I've been chosing what to invest in lately based on whether I support the projects morally and see the potential for them to serve effectively in greater social good beyond their own financial price - selecting seeds based on the fruits I'd be happy to see grown and contributed to the planet. not only has it been a profitable strategy, but one that brings a sense of fulfillment in knowing I've been allocating energy towards the growth of a global garden of changemakers working to make earth a happier, healthier, better place - rather than simply chasing the dollars... :-)

Thanks for this amazing comment. I think @edje maked some good points in his comment above, time commitment comes into it. I also agree on your moral point too- and this is a beautiful thing 'a sense of fulfillment in knowing I've been allocating energy towards the growth of a global garden of changemakers working to make earth a happier, healthier, better place'
Definitely something to think about!

Love it @opheliafu, shared to the Steemit social channels.

Awesome, thanks @hilarski!

Weed is such a headache for any flower beds! especially if one doesn't want to apply chemicals. I want low maintainance but a beautiful garden! Please give us master classes. 😛

Excellent post! I like your work My friend

SO good! And so much like growing a garden! It takes years to fine tune and figure out! Thanks for this, it warms the heart!

Where can I learn more? I've never heard of crypto gardening. I just bought seeds and one of those starter greenhouses. Any tips would be great.

Great Post ! I love the pictures and the creativity behind it.

Thank you very much!

very interesting advice! thank you so much.
