So, a whale makes a shit post, then his friends/upvote services come and start upvoting the shit content. In the end the whale ends up with ridiculous amount of SBD and just repeats the process. I think this is ingenuious !

What these flag wars tell us is that owning more steem is (to some people) worth fighting over - haha - if steem was worthless, they'd go do something else...
Also, did you read @taskmaster4450's post - he seems to think steem power is slowly shifting from being held by whales and into the hands of others... What a happy place it would be if it were mostly dolphins and orcas (by that, I don't mean kick out the minnows, I mean to uplift them :D)
I believe that minnows grow slowly. It is all a matter of time. I will read his post now.
The problem is that those whales are the people who are investing enough money in the platform, what makes them think that they can do anything here.
Of course it is good news and the more dolphins grow here the more money they will control, what makes it better for everybody.

Thankyou for the support! :D I don't have much writing experience beyond the blurbs on fb so it's nice to hear I'm doing well. I think with time I'll improve though, neural plasticity and whatnot. What I really love is that I have this opportunity to spread joy by investing my time into steemit. That's ultimately the biggest reward, this platform is also kind of like practicing anarchy and gift economy which is reeaally cool!!
