Without a doubt, that was totally sick, there have been 3 already and I flagged them all (rare for me). It's obvious that at least two of the offenders weren't bots and had some idea about the post - they were just being sick and opportunistic.
I only saw one, but I was really offended by it.
I suppose I should have flagged it too, would have been a good first flag.

I usually just rush them down. Most project spammers will panic roll behind you once you get close to put some distance between you and him so try to punish that.
Try to look for any patterns in what projectiles they use so you know what's coming next.
