Steem Infographic: Making Friends on Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

@Stellabelle gave me these steps to build friendships on Steemit. I ended up revising the text here and there. Today's another busy, high pressure day, so I might not be around much till tonight. Surprisingly, this piece took about as much time as my fully-finished illustrations! But I'm still glad I finished this up. ☺

Making Friends on Steemit

Steem-make-friends.gif

Why Infographics?

Well, it surely took me long enough to start this series. I'm hoping to make materials that mitigate the Steemit learning curve in short order. I want to eradicate frustration, stagnation and confusion among new users - as well as providing helpful reminders to all. Infographics are quick to process, easy to understand and easy to remember.

Please feel free to share these infographics freely!

Love this infographic!!

Just noticing this now, haaha... Feel free to share it all over! ☺

Yo your killing he game right now bro! You should make your next info graphic on how to efficiently become a dolphin/ explain how to properly utilize 50/50 payouts to earn more steem!

So. Many. Topics... I should take out a loan so I can do them all and hopefully Steem will rise up and compensate. I guess Mr. Bear is having a party in his cave right now - lolz

Lmao I was just thinking about using credit to buy the dips, so I need the bear to keep partying haha

please 🎃

Yeah I that something I would be grateful for , it's something I'm having a hard time grasping at the moment, and I imagine I'm not alone

Awesome... the majority of these apply in the real world too!

Another one I'm thinking is: don't gripe when more successful people try to help... A lot of people get bitter and suspicious when I reach out a helping hand... it's freakin' weird man!

You're doing it again! Starting to get real suspicious, what are you trying to be, helpful or something???

Ha ha... that's crazy!

Please keep these infographics coming. They are helpful to us newbies or anyone interested in joining Steemit who might have questions about how it all works.

Thanks @jaxxy - I'll try. Keeping very busy lately, but Steemit is hard to ignore for more than an hour ☺

Thank you very much for these great advices!
I'm just preparing my first PromoSteem event here in Thailand, to interest and bring more people to Steemit, teach them the basics and step by step all around Steemit.

I take these advice seriously and I know I can be one of popular steemian :)
Thank you so much again for your advice!
I miss your art too💓

Thanks @kawaiipower - I do not like being so busy. That 4 day trip mixed up my life a lot.

I credit @stellabelle with the concepts in the infographic.

Hoping all of everyone's effort makes a serious return within a year's time or less ☺

Another impressive infographic, @overkillcoin. Resteemed :)

So that's how it was! Now I know how to meet friends on steemit! Finally :))

Making friends on Steemit is one of my greatest. I made alot of friends from different nationalities

Yes, before the internet I imagine people had to rely on a pen pal service. Now anyone can easily speak with anyone else, it's a big improvement.

Great job as ever @overkillcoin. Ask not what Steem can do for you, but what you can do for others. It's a motto I live by on here.

I agree. Of course, it's everyone's generosity that buoys our efforts. I just made a small delegation today to someone and they have yet to find out. I'd like to nab more sp and do a second delegation. Minnows are important because they can go to places in the coral reef where a dolphin can't fit or may overlook ☺

On point. Nice and clear. Now if we could only get this on the steemit homepage...

Maybe a hysterically drunken whale can help make that happen? Haha... if not, I'll just try to make more and more...

"Please feel free to share these infographics freely!"
@overkillcoin, nice artwork and thank you for taking the time out to make these! These are great tips @stellabelle!

@karenfoster sure thing, thanks for your support! I should have started these a long time ago, but just lacked the focus...

I feel you...my lack of focus is my biggest enemy sometimes! You have the ball rolling now and that is what counts!! You are rocking it!

Your infographics keep getting better and better man. I'm digging them !
They improve my life expectancy ...

(sorry, I couldn't resist) Honestly though, I do love them.

My infographics also unclog pores and improve night vision! (Hopefully)

Wow, I don't take a compliment from @eqko lightly, it's not an every day occurrence lolz

I'm troubled by kinda bland work for now, trying constantly to break away.

It’s always good to keep your mind sharp bu doing things you like and changing it up.

Thanks for this infographic. Really good one.

Thank you @verasj, there are so many topics to cover, I'm simply overwhelmed :)

The infographics work really honestly! Easy to read and informative when you do them :).

Thanks so much @snrm! Glad they benefited you.

Thank you @overkillcoin. The Infographic looks great. I am a new minnow, and these steps are very helpful. I plan to keep this bookmarked for reference as I start my journey.

@tincanjunction glad to hear! hopefully I can do several a week!

I have learn more about friendship here on steemit and it is the only way to grow. This is a very important topic especially for newbies.

Glad you found it helpful @seyiodus :)

Love these news infographics that you're making.

Haha almost asked if I could use these graphics, but then I saw that I skipped over what you had written below the graphic.

Please feel free to share these infographics freely!

Yep, I make these for the community. I think having them in a printable format soon would be great as well. ☺

Excellent steps to follow to make friends on steemit & you put nicely these steps on infograph.

Your work is awesome man, love these infographics that you do. Would be good to talk to you about designing some for promo-steem if you're up for it.

Sure, not certain what your deadline is but I'll gladly discuss. My discord info is on my signature!

@overkillcoin I feel like this is a new calling for you mate :)

Explaining steps and providing advice in a sleek layout condenses what can be a whole page of writing into a few key words and pictures that people can familiarize themselves with.

The key point for me is needs; With new communities starting up each day, the skills that people may think are not unique actually are at this point and I can only suggest put yourself out there and get feedback.

Feedback is worth more than any amount of upvotes it's literally priceless.

You will build relationships that will flourish with hard work and commitment from both parties.

Have a great morning guys and keep the motivation running!

Thanks @o07 (master of gifs)!

I get bored with articles, so I'm a good candidate to explain with images...

I guess infographics aren't what I really like (comical vids) but it's a good staple and helpful, so that's a good zone for me to focus in, especially for now.

Take care guy!!

A picture is worth a thousand words.

small heart round.jpg

Thanks.

xox

On the other hand, thank YOU! ☺

Off-topic question: What program did you use to compress this image, I downloaded and it came out at 115kb, and why is it saved a .GIF?

Thanks, I'm curious about image loading times and saw this nice infographic, so - uh - yeah!

Helpful article by the way.

A jpg version saved from photoshop would have added 110 k - and ugly compression artifacts. Gif was the obvious choice.

Thanks for dropping on by, @archive.xyz

Thanks for the reply man.

These infographics are great @overkillcoin! A lot of people learn better from visuals than just blocks of text. This one also makes a lot of sense, in terms of how to establish yourself here. And it is definitely NOT an overnight instant process; you have to have patience!

Bright Blessings!

That's a great infographic and the information is very useful. Being helpful and writing meaningful honest comments really helped me grow here. Hanging in discords chats is fun too!

I don't discord enough, but I'm trying to add that to the balancing act. Thanks @leap8 and best wishes!

Your post really deserves an upvote! I would say that every newcomer needs to see this and use the information provided!

Thanks a lot for sharing us, so great post my dear. best of luck

nice game

What do you think this is? Ninetendo??? Hahaha... Please read it again! :D

Great post. I definitely agree. Being authentic will go far.

In your infographic one advice is missing — always upvote sincere comments on your posts! Everything else is flawless, @overkillcoin.

nice post please vote my comment, because your vote is very valuable to me

Well even though much of what you are saying should be obvious its always good to have a reminder. Just think and act like you should in real life. In real life you dont go around and ask friends for favours and then never return the favour. Atleast if you are a real friend.

im totally upvoting this post. You continue to inspire me with these infographic posts. They make understanding the community so much easier... Any chance you might be interested in building an infographic for me for my resume. I Have about 250 clients I've worked for, I've saved all their logos/brand names pngs. I would love to have an infographic of all the places ive worked for seperated by business sector ie. Activision, Disney Interactive = Gaming Industry or Disney Theme Parks, Universal Studios = Parks and Tourism etc. If i could provide you a breakdown of all clients, logos, and sectors, provide an outline of all and assets would you be open to taking on me as a client, ill pay for the work and then we can share it on the community together? let me know. [email protected]

That's a very legit advice. I approve! :d

Hey these are great ! Thanks for taking the time to make these infographics, definitely following to see more and learn more about the steemit community
Thanks for all your hard work

That infographic is awesome! I got many friends from Steemit and there are so manythings to learn here.

Hi @overkillcoin, thank you very much for the infographics. I post a line of code under my content so people can share it without having to resteem it, it looks like this:

[Here I would add my #emojitrivia]

To do that, you just have to write but without the 3 Xs:

X```
\<Ximg src="URL infographic"/>\
X```

I think that makes it easier to share content. feel free to use or not use this method. Have a nice day :)

Nicely done, I'm still newish around these parts and I'm just trying to share quality content and meet nice people. Your info graphic is right on the money.

This is so awesome seeing my ideas come to life in a very artistic and speedy way! Thank you so much for working with me on these!

such as steemeducation is best i see
