Yes a friend did the trip in a big mobile home as he had his family with him. He said that he struggled in some of the narrow roads, especially in the towns.
We are only two, so I will get one of the smallest ones which should help a lot with negotiating the roads.
Autobahn will only be good for me if I have a Maserati or some other fast sports car, so no I will not use it.
Besides it is always much more interesting to take the back roads, as you know with your Harley.
Maybe you will be here before I take the trip if you continue to look for trouble with your wife hahaha.

Our speed limit is 130 on the Autobahn, I wouldn't know what a Maserati would be good for. But on the alpine roads I would love to have one for quick overtaking slower cars 😁

Yes, in Germany they have no speed limit on some of their highways / Autobahn.
I have written so many things since I have joined this blockchain and also on the other blockchain that I believe even Antarctica wouldn't be far enough away 😁 lol
Since she lived only close to the border her dialect is not that bad and we have been living in Klagenfurt for so many years now, that our dialect has changed to a more neutral Carinthian dialect.

I think that it has to be sheer torture to drive a sports vehicle that can go to 250kmh for long distances with a 120kmh speed limit. All of our roads have a limit of 120kmh and if you are caught n camera speeding, arrest you and lock you up lol.

I agree, only sometimes it would be great to have a bit more horsepower when you overtake on small curvy alpine roads.
Well, if you say it this way it sounds bad for me 😁 but I said "we" and my dialect was very different too. For example we pronounce many "s" as "sh", but not all 😉

That's why I love our little VW Polo Maxx/Cross Hannes.
It has a 1600cc motor and plenty of power for overtaking, plus it is small enough to squeeze through gaps.
The only thing that I don't like is the low profile 17 inch wheels. I like to have more rubber on the road and we are now in the process of changing the wheels.
The car is a pleasure on the city and town roads, but on gravel those flat tires make for a jarring ride.

The way that I know women is that they personalize everything and I don't think that "we" is going to count for very much hahaha.

Right, for the city I'd prefer a smaller car, but on longer distances I prefer my van and I have a lot more space.

City limit is 50 km per hour and the speed limit outside or villages is 100, but that depends on the roads and other conditions, so sometimes it's 80 or 70, but 100 max.

No problem, I suppose most of the roads are in the mountains and it's wise to have a max limit of 100kph.
Our town limits interchange between 40 and 60max. Long distance national roads are 120kph.
So when one travels long distance and you see a stretch of very long open road of about 90km long, you can only drive along it at 120kmh.

Yes, on most roads the 100 kph is enough, but some speed limits are not understandable for me, and I don't mean slower limits, I either think sometimes it's much too fast.

Well in South Africa we are used to much higher speeds, that's why guys still het caught doing 180kmh on a 60kmh road. Some guys in flashy cars even get caught doing 280kmh on the long 120kmh limited roads.
We have flat, straight roads as far as the eye can see all over in this country and in the days of the old Chevrolet V8 and Ford V8s, there were no speed limits.

Some people drive that fast too here, I mean 200 or faster, but I haven't heard of 280. That would be too fast for most of our roads.
