Been a while since I posted in B&W community for the monomad challenge, and thought a graveyard would be fitting to post; but not your average graveyard, no: an anchor one.

This strange landscape can be found in on of my favourite portuguese beaches, called Praia do Barril. An anchor graveyard now exists here, as a hommage to a shipyard of ancient times.

The shoreline, just a few meters from the anchors, is sometimes filled with scattered seashells.

Another cool thing about this beach, there's a small train that does the traject between the nearest houses and the beach, around 1km only. I don't remember last time I used it, thow; the walk is so enjoyable, that it seems a waste to ride the train.

At least the train tracks are a nice photo subject! ;)

i would never expect that such kind of graveyard exists. why don't it was all sold to scrapeyard?
Don't know if they were the actual anchors of the ships; but it was made as a hommage!
