Switching from my usual posts about wildlife, to plants, thank to this week's theme of @qurator's Photo Quest: Botanical photography it is!
I do enjoy plants, and if possible, to identify what I'm seeing (probably just the geek in me!). Besides, next to plants, we can usually find wildlife as well! It was the case here, even thow I was in an urban area. This was my first visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and they have a beutiful botanical garden. And among the species found there, one family stood out:
Orchids are always beautiful, but there were some really amazing ones here!
Different size, shape, and colours, and all well treated and organized.
The one from the first photo was my favourite. And of course, where there are flowers, there are...
Apart from the orchids, another flower deserved more attention. They're among my favourites too, so it was easy to give them some attention.
Hibiscus are incredibly colorful too, and the central part standing out makes them even more beautiful. If you go Malaysia's capital, be sure to give this place a visit!
