El conteo de días desde que en #Venezuela se declaró la #cuarentena por la #pandemia de #Covid19 ha llegado a un número secuencial, uno en que sus dígitos están ordenados, si, ya llegamos al 678 días desde aquel viernes de marzo en que se realizó el anuncio presidencial con el que se aceptaba que existía una realidad inevitable, estábamos en un mundo que afrontaba una epidemia, más bien una pandemia, una de la que no escapó ninguno de los continentes habitados por notros como humanidad.

Esta actriz británica es un ícono del cine, de una elegancia etérea, de una gracia calmada y de un temple impresionante, cuando comenzó a participar en las películas de los estudios norteamericanos redefinió el prototipo de las actrices estrellas, dejó en las sombras la idea de que únicamente las mujeres voluptuosas y exuberantes tenían la aceptación del público. I must confess that in my memory there is a peculiar detail with this actress, because of her well-known filmography, people generally mention and remember her for her leading role in "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961), it happens that the first film I remember seeing of hers was the one that stuck with me, it was My Fair Lady (1964), really her role in which she represented a very ordinary street vendor of low socioeconomic status who managed to enter a two-man bet to see if she could be trained to pass as an aristocratic upper class lady, well, I loved it, she had a touch from the story of Cinderella, with an underlying message of self-improvement through study and sincere effort. She wanted to be more than she was at her current moment, she wanted to be much more, she got an opportunity and did everything on her part, despite the fact that at times she was fed up and thought of giving up, she persisted in her study, in her practices, in his training, until it was a complete success.
I loved the film as a child and a few years ago I found it again in a restored version, I enjoyed it again, and I was delighted, not only because of the nostalgia of the first time I saw it at home with my brothers, but also because I could see many more things interwoven in the plot that a child could not notice, in short, that like any good work, it has multiple layers of reading.

Debo confesar que en mi memoria hay un detalle peculiar con esta actriz, pues de su muy conocida filmografía, la gente generalmente menciona y la recuerda por su papel protagónico en "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961) Traducida a Español como Desayunando con Diamantes, pero en mi caso, sucede que la primera película que recuerdo haber visto de ella fue la que me quedó impresa, se trataba de My Fair Lady (1964), que si recuerdo bien la traducción a español fue Mi Bella Dama, de verdad que su papel en el que representaba a una muy ordinaria vendedora callejera de bajo estrato socioeconómico que lograba entrar en una apuesta de dos hombres para ver si podría ser entrenada para hacerse pasar por una dama de clase alta aristocrática, pues, a mí me encantó, tenía un toque del cuento de la Cenicienta, con un mensaje subyacente de superación a través del estudio y el esfuerzo sincero. Ella quería ser más de lo que era en su momento actual, ella deseaba ser mucho más, logró una oportunidad y puso todo de su parte, a pesar de que por momentos estaba harta y pensaba en renunciar, ella persistió en su estudio, en sus prácticas, en su entrenamiento, hasta que fue todo un éxito.
Amé la película de niño y hace unos años me la encontré de nuevo en una versión restaurada, volví a disfrutarla y me quedé encantado, no solamente por la nostalgia de la primera vez que la vi en casa con mis hermanos, sino también porque podía ver muchas más cosas entretejidas en la trama que un niño no podía notar, en fin, que como toda buena obra, tiene múltiples capas de lectura.

The publication has been very long, but it happens that I have enjoyed it because of the memories it has brought me, in short, to report briefly what happened during the day, today I went to the nearby vegetable fair and bought some things, the weather is cool, services were down a bit, but worked most of the day. Me ha quedado muy larga la publicación, pero sucede que la he disfrutado por los recuerdos que me ha traído, en fin, que para reportar en breve lo sucedido durante el día, hoy salí a la feria de verduras cercana y compré algunas cosas, el clima está fresco, los servicios estuvieron fallando un poco, pero funcionaron la mayor parte del día. Viendo todo eso, se puede decir que fue un día calmado y bueno. Te deseo que estés bien y que nos podamos leer de nuevo en otra oportunidad.
