Thanks for sharing your trip to Halfeti, the Turkish Atlantis! I like to hear stories about history, but I don't like it when humans interfere with some ridiculous decisions as this one... It's like silencing history by flooding it under the water...
I'm going fishing at one lake that was also human-created... As I was regular in the last 10 years, whenever water drops, the part of the old mill is visible... But, as years were passing by, nature does its thing, and the old mill is slowly disappearing... I suppose a similar future awaits the old mosque from your story... 😞

I don't like them too. It is really sad and the fact that Halfeti could be older than Göbeklitepe, The Zero Point of History, is just treason in my opinion.
It is sad that mill slowly disappearing, I wish it didn't happen in the beginning.
