RE: More Than Just Old Songs, They Opened a Door to My Teenage Years

At first, I thought I'd listen to just one song.
An hour later... I was still there.

Oh, that sounds very familiar... I went down the same road multiple times, and YouTube is doing very well at picking those exact hits I was listening to back in the '90s. I suppose the music has the power to time-travel us back to those exact days, opening the can of that exact moment in the past...

I know that growing up can have positive sides too, but I suppose that everyone would give everything to get back to that very moment of the first kiss, first crush, or something meaningful to the person... All for a minute, or even a second...

Luckily, we have music to do that for us... when we want to travel, we just play the song... :)

I don't have a specific list, as YT does the job... 😃 But this is usually a good start...

You're absolutely right. Music can instantly bring back memories of the past—especially the songs that accompanied the most emotional moments of our lives.

I’m not sure why, but I really enjoy old songs—whether they’re from the 2000s or from the time when my parents were young.

I remember back when I was in elementary school, my dad used to listen to old songs from his cassette collection. That’s probably why I still enjoy listening to old Indonesian songs today.
